Y/n woke up still feeling a bit dizzy. She sat up and looked around, she was in a hospital. The only thing on her mind was if soobin was okay. Her thoughts were interupted by her door opening.
Yena: thank god you're awake now!
She said as she ran and gave her a hug.
Yeonjun: stop, she's still not fine.
It was bvious that yena was crying earlier, her voice was hoarse and her eyes are swollen a bit.
Yena: How are you feeling? Do you want anything?
Y/n: s-soobin, how is he?
The two looked down as silence filled the room.
Y/n: where is he? Is he okay?
Her voice was getting more anxious and she had a feeling that they were gonna say something she wouldn't want to hear.
Yeonjun: he- he's still not found.
Y/n: what? What do you mean?He was right beside me.
Yena: when they found you, you were alone, he wasn't there.
Y/n: Are you telling me this because you can't tell me the truth that he died?
She was crying at this point but her voice stayed calm.
Yeonjun: he didn't.
Y/n: how did you know?
He looked down.
Yeonjun: We found his ring beside you
Y/n: what does that ring even do?
Yeonjun: it doesn't make us age.
Yena: Don't worry, we'll find him. For now, just rest.
She said as she gave another hug.
Yeonjun: we're right here.

A few years later
A million stars up in the sky.
One shines brighter - I can't deny.
A love so precious, a love so true,
a love that comes from me to you.
The angels sing when you are near.
Within your arms I have nothing to fear.
You always know just what to say.
Just talking to you makes my day.

The girl closed her notebook as she smiles down at the little child.
Taehyung: Woah, is that for dad?
Y/n: of course, who else?
Taehyung: you know, I'm still upset because you adopted me.
Y/n: why? Are we bad parents?
Taehyung: no, I just don't want you to be my mom, I want you to be my girlfriend!
She chuckles a bit before pulling him into a hug.
Y/n: you're only 10.
Taehyung: still.
???: sorry, she's mine.
He joins the two as took them both in his arms.
Y/n: Yah! Yeonjun! Put me down!
He puts them down as he places a small kiss on her forehead.
Taehyung: I'm jelly.
Y/n bent down and he also kissed her but on the cheek.
Y/n: There.
She stood back up and they went inside the car. They were going to an amusement park.
It was almost a year since they adopted taehyung. As years passed by, yeonjun did his best to stay with her and help her forget.
Though he still felt sorry for soobin, It was clear that he was gone and he couldn't help but love her.
And fortunately she said that she felt the same. Though they weren't actually married, they were still together.
Ever since then, she smiled all the time. He was happy to think that he was the one making her happy.
The three were enjoying their time together, little do they know, their happiness might not be real, it's just an illusion to ignore the pain.
Not just theirs, but also the pain of the man who watched as they explored and rode different rides.
"It feels good to know that you've been doing well, but unfortunately I can't say the same. I just miss you. But it's better this way,"
He smiled once again, bitterly, as he walked away. He recalled another precious memory he had with her when things were still fine.
