Chapter 22

Alyx's POV

I knew what I had to do once she said that. So I immediately swim towards the other side of the pool when Jenn starts chasing me. But since I'm really clumsy I almost drown, trying to swim faster than her.

It doesn't take long for her to catch up with me while the guys look amused to see what's going to happen next. She slowly stands in front of me and before I can progress what's going on, she pulls me down with her.

Once I'm underwater, I can't see anything. I can only feel Jenn's body holding on to me. After a few seconds I feel her pulling me back up so I can breathe again.

I start to cough a bit because the water went in my mouth and Jenn starts laughing. "That's what you get babe" she winks while she wraps her arms around my neck.

"Okay fine, you win" I respond, now holding her hips with my hands. Then we both lean in simultaniously and kiss slowly. After a few seconds the guys start to fake cough and mumble "PDA" under their breath.

So I pull back but I don't stop holding her in my arms. "If you can't even handle this then you should leave" I say with a smile, eager to get them both out of the pool so I can have some quality time with Jenn.

"With pleasure" Ricky responds as him and Jack get out and dry themselves off. "We're going to watch something on netflix in my room so have fun you 2 but not too much" he winks while entering his room.

"God, how long I've been waiting today for that" Jenn gets out. "For them to leave?" I ask confused as she loves them just as much as I do. "No not that, for us to have some time alone. I mean what more can I ask for? I have my gorgeous girlfriend in my arms in a penthouse in New York in a pool." Jenn says smoothly.

"In that case you are very correct my love. So why don't we take advantage of this moment and enjoy eachothers company." I suggest and she immediately agrees, wrapping also her legs around my waist so that I can carry her around the pool.

There is no space between us as I wander in silence through the heated pool while we both stare at the skyline of the city. I breath out in Jenn's neck so I can inhale her scent which I've gotten really used to.

It's a very comforting smell, just like the comfort of being in her arms. So I hug her even tighter and turn my attention back to her. She immediately notices this and pulls back a bit so I can look at her face.

"Is something wrong?" she quietly asks while pushing a piece of my hair behind my ear and holding my jaw. "This is just a bit overwhelming to be honest with you" I try to explain to her.

Jenn's POV

In this exact moment I know that I'm completely in love with Alyx. The way she's holding me and looking at me only comfirms my thoughts. She's the most caring person ever, expecially when it comes to me.

So when she suddenly stopped looking at the city and turned her face in my neck I got worried. "What's overwhelming?" I ask her softly while I kiss her cheek.

"All this" she gets out, tears already forming in her eyes. "Don't cry please" I immediately say, holding her face with both my hands. "I can't help it Jenn" she continues.

"Just being with you here in this beautiful city is just utterly amazing. I'm feeling things I never felt in my entire life. And just you being here, as my girlfriend, has been the best thing that has ever happened to me."

"I can't imagine being with someone other than you. And I know that we haven't been together for so long to say that but I feel like we're destined to be together. I genuinely believe that."

Now tears are threatening to fall from her eyes as I can also feel mine building up as she keeps going. "No one has ever made me feel so loved or alive. You just bring out the absolute best in me and I couldn't thank you enough for it."

"And like I said, being with you in this city just makes my emotions go crazy as you can see" we both laugh through our tears "but I wouldn't want it any other way to be honest."

"What I'm trying to say is. That Jenn, I am in love with you." She finishes her speech with a shy smile that makes my heart go crazy. I can see her tear finally drop now as she expressed her love to me.

I don't respond at that exact moment but I instantly lean in and kiss her with as much passion as I can. Now my tears are slowly starting to roll down my face as I'm experiencing the most intense moment in my life.

When I pull back, I put our foreheads against eachother and whisper "I'm in love with you too". This statement makes her smile brighter than I've ever seen her smile.

We then embrace eachother in our arms and stay like this for a few minutes as I'm giving her soft kisses on her shoulder.

"Now I have a suprise for you" she mumbles in my ear.
