Jenn and Alyx are best friends but they don't feel like best friends should. They are both slowly figuring out their feelings for eachother and coming to terms with who they are.
I am so excited to show Alyx where we're going but I'm going to keep it a secret so I can suprise her. We've been driving for half an hour now and she's still as curious as she was when she got into the car.
"Can you please just give me a hint?" she begs me with puppy eyes but I'm not falling for it tonight, cause tonight is going to be special. "Nice try huney but it won't work. You'll just have to be patient." I try to reason with her.
I place my hand on her thigh to have at least some form of connection between us cause I don't like it when we're far apart. She smiles at this gesture and finally stops asking me questions. But she does play the songs that we usually listen to.
Soon the car is filled with our laughter and our singing. We are both belting to our favorite songs and I absolutely love it. This is exactly why we're best friends: we have no shame towards eachother and that's why we can completely be ourselves.
Alyx is a one in a kind person and I'm so grateful to have her by my side through thick and thin. That's why I'm going to ask her an important question tonight and I'm already super nervous. She deserves the absolute world and that's what I'll try to give to her.
A few minutes later we arrive at our first destination but she still can't see what I did for her as we're standing at the edge of a forest. "Where are we?" she asks confused because she's never been in this part of LA. "That's for me to know and for you to find out" I wink.
I take a blindfold out of my bag and she immediately becomes hesitant. "Jenn is that really necessary? You know how clumsy I am even with proper sight." she tries to make me put it away but I'm not giving in. "Do you trust me?" I ask her and she immediately nods so I can blindfold her.
After I'm done with helping her get out of the car, I get a few extra blankets and the basket that I prepared for us. I take Alyx's hand and I guide her carefully through the forest, making sure that she doesn't fall. After another 5 minutes of walking we finally arrive at my destination.
I let her go for a few seconds so I can arrange everything on the ground. I already assembled everything when I came back from her place so now it looks finished. I then stand behind her so I can take off the blindfold. She immediately gasps when she sees what I prepared for her.

"Omfg Jenn it's fucking beautiful" she says, clearly still in shock. Alyx turns around and just hugs me tightly without saying anything else. I can hear her sniffling and I get worried so I pull back a bit to look at her face. "Are you crying?" I ask worriedly cause that's not what I wanted.
"Ofcourse I am, look at what you did for me. No one has ever done anything even remotely close to this in my life." she exclaims now with a tear running down her gorgeous face. I grab her cheeks and kiss her slowly but with a lot of passion. "Anything for you my love" I whisper.
I gently wipe her tear away with my thumb and I grab her hand "well wait then till you see the inside" I say excitedly. Alyx is now a bit less emotional so I open the tent to take a look inside.

"How did you even have the time to set this all up?" she asks suprised while she examines every little detail about it with admiration. "I had a little help from our besties" I explain, automatically smiling at their names since they helped me so much with setting this all up.
"You know that I would've been equally as happy to just spend time with you on the floor of your appartement" she says while pulling me into her so we can cuddle on the cosy mattress. "I know but I wanted tonight to be special" I say shyly now.
"It's more than I could ever ask for. And it's always special whenever you're with me. Even if we're just talking or doing basic stuff. I just love spending time with you." she responds, now blushing herself.
She's making me blush again so I cuddle into her more to cover it up. It's crazy how she can make me so confident one moment and then the next I'm this shy schoolgirl that's trying to ask out her crush. Alyx just has such a big influence on me it's crazy.
She grabs me tighter and she kisses my forehead. "Thank you for everything" she whispers in my ear. "Anything for you" I whisper back. "Do you want to watch the stars?" I suggest after we lay in a comfortable silence for a few minutes. "Ofcourse babe" she answers.
This is it. This is the perfect moment to finally ask her the important question and my heart is almost beating out of my chest.
