Part 5

I woke up to smell of food and a pounding headache. My stomach didn't help me in any way as it was constantly reminding me that I was hungry I managed to pry my eye's open and make my way out of the tent.

The Second I stepped Outside I was engulfed in smoke from the fire. After my coughing spree, I looked up to see both Haru and Elie engrossed in their conversation that they didn't even hear my loud coughing. I felt a weird pang in my heart but chose to ignore it.

As I was about to interrupt there little talk I realized that I could hear each and every one of there words clearly thought they were whispering and sitting 5 feet away. Well, that's a first I get superpowers then super hearing now that is crazy. Curiosity got the best of me and I focused in on their conversation.

" I don't know if it safe we don't know her" mumbled Elie

" yeah but I trust her. Is that not enough" Haru whisper yelled back.

"But who do you trust her so much you only met her two days" Ellie whisper yelled back.

Sighing Haru looked at her " why can you just trust my judgment" as he looked at her with pleading eyes.

Elie sighed and nodded in reply. Haru finally noticed I was standing there giving me a smile he turned to look at Elie and nodded she gave a slight sigh in response.

Haru turned towards me and began bombarding me with questions "ok I am not going to beat around the bush. Exactly what happened earlier" they both stared at me.

With a sigh, I shrugged in response hoping that would answer their questions but they kept staring at me waiting for more.

"Honestly I don't know what happens. all I know is that we need to find three people that may be able to tell his exact what is going on because I have no idea what happened".

I said leaving the part about my dreams out. I can't exactly tell them about my dreams or what my mother said since I don't know or trust them yet. Haru looked at me for a while before clapping his hands together and saying.

" Alright looks like you're telling the truth well talk about this after we eat" ok well that was easier than I thought. I just shrugged in response and Elie just nodded as we all sat down to eat.

Today it was some kind of canned food that looked more like dog food. Trying not to gag as I eat I glanced up to see Haru staring at me before looking back down at his food. I have a feeling the conversation from earlier is definitely not finished.

"so do you want to hear the rest about daybreak"

I was a bit taken aback but I really wanted to know.

"Yeah, I think its best if I find out as much as I can since they are the cause of all this."

He nodded "alright were did I leave off.....right! Let's review what we already know. We know daybreak have no limits they created infections killed millions and even now continue to research upon the deadly virus" Harus paused for emphasis before continuing.

"I and Ellie actually happened to bump into one of the there labs and found a synthesized antivirus that is if you get infected u can take it since there is a time limit before the infection takes control. I would say if you take the antivirus in about 6 hours after your bit."

" that makes sense as to why so many of the nurses were all infected but at different times". I said remembering the nurse that aided me was fine a day before the infection reached the hospital.

"Anyways we know there is a cure and about what half their motives are"

" wait what do you mean only half of there motives," I said in confusion.

" Well, it seems they are experimenting with things other than the virus thou we don't know what it is. Ok, as much as that sounded true I get the feeling they are still hiding something from me.

before I could reply to his answer Haru smiled and said "alright now that, that's cleared lets stock on some supplies shall we" I just nodded in response as this subject was not closed.

" wait did you guys get the supplies I had."

" Yeah, but we still need to restock we can't just live off of and food," he said giving me a duh look".

I just laughed in response.

Two hours later

We had decided it would be best to take a car and go further into town "alright then airi will you be able to get the car to work" I got out from under the car.

"Well I used some other car parts and managed to get it started so it should work now hopefully enough to get us into the next city".

I hoped in the driver's seat and started up the car. With a slight rumble, it came to life. Switch the car back off we headed into the street keeping to the shadows.

" I think we should split up and look for things."

"Yeah sounds good. I'll search for food. Airi you search for a moment and other weapons. And Elie you search for water" We all nodded and split up.

After about a half hour of searching, I finally found a weapons store and managed to get some decent equipment. Deciding I had enough I went looking for the other two.

I managed to find Haru in a store a block from where I was. " so did you find something."

Yeah, I finally found food other than can goods. There is some fruit that is decent and will also other vegetables so it's a pretty nice haul."

Before I could reply we heard a loud scream who I was pretty sure was Ellie. I looked at Haru and we both rushed out of the store to find the source of the scream.... Ellie. "ELLIE ELLIE WERE ARE YOU!!!!!!" I screamed trying to hear a reply.
