Chapter 6 The Caterpillar Salughter Incident Part 1

'Damn, I really hate being a worm, what if those damn things killed me, it wasn't fair, there were too many', I said this as I was going through the forest recalling what had happened earlier.

Earlier that Day

'Man I slept well, that was great, you know being a worm is actually not that bad', I said this while I was wiggling my way up to the surface

'I mean if I really think about it my life as a worm has been pretty good for the most part at least, in fact I think i'm getting used to it', I was being very positive this morning, which was strange,

but I didn't think to much of it and continued to wiggle my way up to the surface

'Man I made this hole deep, wait there is the sunlight', It was here that I made a fatal mistake,

However I didn't know that................................................

'You know what, I like being able to move through dirt like this, well that is just another benefit of being a worm", I was having good thoughts

'I think....... I like being a Wor-',

I had just reached the surface.............................. to see

a bunch of bird type monsters

some looked like the Blood Robin, some look like crows or other random birds I saw in my previous life,

none of them were big, but there was at least 10........................

and they all stared at me......

my reaction was the following

'oh...........................shit', that was my last thought before I began to slowly go back into the ground

The bird then looked at each other then me slowly going into the ground and ATTACKED!

My tiny heart almost stopped at the sight of such a thing

'R-......RUN!!!!', and thus I wiggled for my life underground trying my hardest to avoid getting eaten by the birds as they pecked at the ground trying to eat me

"I.... I HATE BEING A WORM!', thankfully the birds were all going after me and kept fighting or accidentally hitting each other

or else I don't think I could have escaped

Present Time

'Those damn birds, just wait till I become strong enough to one hit you all!', and like that I wiggled onwards toward who knows where

*Rustle*

"Is......is there something in that bush......, HIDE!' and like that I wiggled into the ground and was digger deeper when all of a sudden

'huh? why does this dirt kinda feel light in this are-', how could I have known that there was some underground burrow thing.

'AHHHHHH!!!!!!', of course I screamed as I fell, i mean i'm a worm and my chances of surviving a fall is like 0.

Luckily I landed on something big and bouncy, and actually kinda soft

'Wait.... what is this?', when I looked around and down I knew what it was that I was on

A BIG CATERPILLAR!

However that wasn't all, there was a bunch of them and in the middle of the underground cave was a cocoon

There were at least 100 or more of these caterpillars and all of them are weak as hell!

'I don't know about that cocoon though, but who cares, these guys are like walking experience points', so these caterpillars are brown with black dots on their backs and with two long antennas

other than that there were about 12inchs and apart from that there is noting else about it.

'HAHA, lets kill these damn caterpillars',

and so I began to use [Bite] to kill the caterpillars, however although their harding sounded like it would do a lot, it only made the targets that didn't even move, since when they use it they go into a back and a iron-ish type color appears on them,

But it was extremely weak and didn't give a lot of experience points, but also couldn't do anything against my [Bite Lvl 5] and my strength stat combined, thus I could easily kill them.

'Finally, I can feel powerful, HAHAHAHAAHHA!'  and thus one by one the caterpillars began to die and a slaughter began

"Evolution now available" the mechanical voice said
