Noise is terrifying.
Walking in a crowded city, I take it in,
reluctantly.
I see you together, and it gets louder
And louder
And louder
And the world spins
And I'm out like a light.
The next day, I wake up regretting everything.
I know I'll go through the same cycle and limp home,
Because I'll never be as fast,
Strong,
Kind,
Or happy
As her.
So I must leave you behind
With a heavy heart.
