skydiving
when I told you I loved you
and opened my heartit seemed like jumping out of an plane
without a parachute onknowing for sure that I'll break
and shatter on the groundbut the green and blue colour looked
so beautiful and innocent up thereso I jumped out of the plane
with anticipation and excitement in my veinsfully aware of the consequences
but accepting them as a part of the falland I felt so free
so happy and carefreewhile the wind blew softly
through my messy hairand even though the height
looked so dangerous yet luring from up thereI'm glad that I've jumped
because who would have thought
I could grow my own wings
during the fallnow I still fly up in the sky
carrying your heart in my hands
like a treasure
showing it the beauty of the soft wind
and the feeling of freedomand I realised that you never know
what to expect
when you fall for someoneyou simply have to find out
either love teaches you how to to fly
or soleness and sorrow drag you downand when you crash
you didn't loosebecause you'll find a way
to stick your pieces back togethercreating a new puzzle
building yourself up strongergetting to know yourself a bit better
knowing that you won't ever take that sort of plane againbut maybe another one
one that is worth jumping for
worth taking the riskand maybe that's all love is about
when you ask me
the first steps of love demand risks like
a fall demands gravitythe two complete each other
or else you'd just be stuck in one place
