Chap Four- Thoughts of Beauty

=With Penny, and the group + Maya=

As the group watches Cole convince Azura to walk away with him, they stay quiet. All but Maya, atleast.
Once the two disappear down below deck, Penny sighs and speaks up.

"Please. You'll have to forgive them. They never were good when in the same room."

"It's not my fault!!" Maya screams.
Penny shoots Maya a death glare, thus telling her to shut up. Maya takes the hint and zips her lips.
Penny turns to Lloyd, and perks her hands on her hips. Lloyd gives the woman his full attention.
"Throughout all the years I've spent seperating the fights between my sisters, I've noticed that this one,"
She points to Maya, still restrained by Zane.

"She calms down when she's swinging her fists at something. So, would you happen to have a punching bag? Or something similar?"

Lloyd chuckles and nods to Kai.
Penny's eyes travel over to the male, and she watches him flip a lever. The ground begins to quake on the bounty, and a training course rises from the planks.
Penny chuckles and nods her head.
"That'll do." She laughs.

Penny signals to Zane that he can let go. He nods and removes his arms from Maya's body. Maya plucks the tips of her sleeves, and grunts. She moved over to the course, and Penny steps up to her side.
"No using your powers on the arena. Got it?"
"Hmmph. Fine."

Penny nods.
"Good. Now I'm off. Don't start any. Problems."

Penny bids her sister a good night, and walks off out of sight.
However, Jay slips out of the group's sight, and follows after Penny.

=Penny's PoV=

I slip off out of sight and circle around to the back of the ship. The area that I hope I'll have some alone time.
I finally make it to that little spot, and sigh, leaning my body against the rail. I dig my fingers into my hair, and let out a long sigh.

"Looks like you could use a break. Care for a ride?"
I spin around, and see Jay standing there with a smug smirk, leaning against the wall, with his arms folded across his chest.
I smirk and take a step closer to him. I bring my hands out from my locks and smile Jay's way.
"Peek my interests, and I might accept." I say slyly.

Jay laughs to himself, and summons a little lightning in his hand. I stare at the sparks with awe, before locking eyes with him.
"You have powers too?" I ask.

Jays eyes widen, and his sparks of lighting vanish. I find his hands in mine now, and his face... rather close.
"Are you telling me... that you and your sisters have powers??"

I sheepishly nod.
If he's gonna know, might as well know now.

"My sisters have somewhat similar powers. Er, Azura can corrupt people and controll them... if she's feeling threatened or evil. And, um, Maya... she can lift the dead, like zombies, ghosts, and skeletons, and make them her army. Whenever she feels like it. . . Sadly."

Jays hands grip my own.

"And what about your powers?" He whispers.

I hesitate for a moment. But still, I answer.

"Trickery. I can manipulate my opponents mind, and twist them into believing what is false."

Jay chuckles.
"Remind me never to get on your bad side."

I can't help but smile.

Jay lets go of my hands, and walks over to the side. He extends his arms outwards, towards to forest, and somehow summons an electrical dragon. Once again, I'm in awe.
The master of lightning smirks.
"Interested now?" He sips.

In a treasurable defeat, i lift my palms, facing outwards, and hang my head low.
"Ok. You win. A ride sounds nice. Especially on that," I gesture to his dragon.
"And especially with you."

I walk over to Jay and he helps me up onto his Dragon. Once Im settled in, and Im to a point where I'm not going to slip off, Jay hops up in front of me and takes the dragon's chains.
"Might want to hang onto something," advises the master.
"The take offs are always rather slippery!"
In a tad of a panic, I look around for anything to grab onto. But... i only find one thing.

Jay.

His dragon stirrs, and wings spread out. The dragon takes off into the air, with a rush of speed. I grab onto Jay as quickly as i possibly as the dragon tilts upwards, zooming into the sky. I cant help but yell out Jay's name as we go up.
I press my head to his back, and squeeze my eyes shut. I hold onto him for dear life, almost. As the air settles, and the dragon smoothes out, i still refuse to open my eyes.
I hear the Master of Lightning laugh, as he nudges me with his shoulder. I hold to him closer.
"Haha, Penn, it's okay to look now."
"Stop laughing. My fear of falling isnt funny." I hip.
"I won't let you fall, Penny. I promise. So c'mon. Look at the stars. Give the view some credit, too. Its amazing."

I take in a deep breath, open my eyes, and gasp. He's right. It is beautiful. The sun has fully gone down now, and gives the Moon and stars their needed credit.
"Wow.... so pretty~...." I hum.

"Yeah.... it sure is."

I look down below, as my gaze travels along the forests. We fly for a bit, going a ways north, before i spot a water fall and its river lake. I point to it and shake Jay's shoulders a bit.
"Jay! Can we visit the waterfal? Please?" I beg of him.

"Yeah! Sounds fun."
Jay pulls the dragons chain closer to him, and we start to descend. I put my arms around him and admire the view as we go down.
The dragon lands and We dismount Jay's dragon. I rush to the edge of the water, kneel down, and dip my hands into the cold water. Jay laughs and comes up behind me. I look overy shoulder at him and smile.
"Thank you Jay. This is womderful."

Jay begins to take off his shoulder pads [for armor], and sets them to the side.
"Dont thank me yet~." He slurrs.
Before I can question what he's about to do, Jay picks me up bridal style, and walks a few paces back away from the water. I extend my arms out towards the river, acting like a two year old who wants the liquid.
"Ready?" Jay asks me.

"Ready for what? Jay, what're you plotting?"

"Three! Two!! One!! Cannonball!!!"

As i finally realize what he's doing, its too late. We're already in the water. We swim up for air, and surface. I look at him and laugh.
"Jay!!"

"Yeah, Penn?" He acts innocently.

"I asked for a Flight, not a swim!!" I laugh again, sending a splash of water his way.

"Hey!!" He snickers.

As we're keeping afloat, we hear a voice from Jays stuff on the land.

Nya: Jay, we need you back at the Bounty. There's trouble.

I look to Jay sadly.
"Looks like we have to head back. Sorry about that." He sighs.

I shake my head with a smile.

"No worries. A job is a job. I understand. We can pick this up another time."

He nods.
"Thanks. Now, lets get out of this freezing water. Im not Nya and Im not Zane, so cold water doesnt mix with me anyways. C'mon."
