Chapter Eighteen- The New Hero(?)

       After we're done restraining the animals, we... receive a cheering crowd. This kind of throws me off guard. I knew I'd be coming along to help the mission... but I wasn't expecting to have the citizens come to cheer for our success. I stand beside Cole as the Ninja all wave to the people.
     I spot a little girl amoung the crowd. Our eyes meet contact and she tugs on her mother's hand and points to me with a smile.

      "Look, Mommy!" She says. "A new hero!"

     Before I can process what's happening, all eyes are on me. I have that zoned out expression and Cole nudges me.

     "Huh?" I mumble.

          Cole points to the people as to hint for me to step foreward. I try to say no, but he playfully rolls his eyes and pushes me up there.

       I nervously look around at the people and give a weak smile. A news reporter and her camera guy step up to confront me. She puts the Mic to my face and asks for the name of the new hero. In other words me.
     You know, I'd really prefer that tiger right now. But standing in silence is only going to look weird. I swallow hard and focus.

        "My name is Azura. Azara the Blade...?" I say, less confidently towards the end.

     The news lady giggles and turns to the camera.

        "Well folks, there you have it! The Ninja and their newest ally have saved the day once again! The animals from the attack are going to be sent to Ninjago's zoo district, and be relocated to a proper home! My name's...."

    I tune the rest of her little report out and remember how Cole shoved me into the spotlight. I turn around and playfully march over to him.

      "Hey, Az! You looked great out there!" Cole teases.

     I let out a few fake 'Ha-has' and punch Cole in the arm. He laughs and rubs the spot. I giggle and tell him to not put me on the spot. Ti which he slyly replies,

         "Hard to do, when you look best in the light."

    I return a "that was cheesy" face in response to his line.

       He nods and agrees with me. Lloyd turns to us and we all focus on him. He exhales a sign of exhaustion and perks his hands on his hips.

       "How about we go back to the Bounty and relax?" He suggests.

      The seven of us all nod in unison, before we head back to the ship.

       I lean against the rail above deck after eating another one of Zane's delicious meals. Im super tired, not only from today, but this past week as well. A lot has happened. I've trained, I've loved, I've just generally grown as a person.
       I like it here.

              I hear someone clear their throat from behind me. I have my guess on who it is too.

      I turn around and see Cole, holding a bouquet of tulips. He has this puppy-love look on his face and its hard to ignore. He takes a step closer to me and holds out the arrangement of flowers.
