"This is my own apartment?"

He nodded. "Yes, all yours."

"No...." she whispered, surprised that this place was going to be her home. She had spent a week with Yon-Rogg until he suggested that it was time for her to have her own apartment. Fortunately he had found one for her in his own apartment building so that they would be close to each other. The decision provided her with great comfort as she was all alone on this planet. No traces of her family or previous friends. Yon was all she had on this world.

"It is. Look at the hologram," he said, pointing to the projected lease papers on the kitchen bench.

Vers glanced over her shoulder to double check if he truly meant that and then smiled happily. "This is great!"

Yon-Rogg could have sworn that he heard her squeal. Heh. That was.... ador--- Control it... he warned himself focusing his mind on his hands before glancing up. She wasn't someone to fawn over. She was his weapon.... but.... He paused. She was so much more than that. Control it. He let silence fill his mind until he regained composure. Yon-Rogg watched Vers walk further into the room before turning around to him with a wide smile. He had never seen anyone so happy over something so small. It filled him with joy to see how much she was grinning.

"Yon-Rogg... Thank you," she said as she ran over towards him.

He braced himself for impact. Terrans were funny creatures that let their emotions run their lives. However, she didn't hug him. He sighed, relieved that she didn't hug him. "You're welcome." He nodded. The Supreme Intelligence had outdone themselves with this apartment. It was almost the same size as his apartment and had a great view of the downtown of Hala. Yon-Rogg stopped by the window, admiring the view of the bustling city before turning around to glance at Vers. Her enthusiasm was endearing. Terrans were funny creatures indeed. He chuckled, smiling happily at her. He cast his glance away from her when she exited the room to go explore her bedroom. She was until he heard footsteps approach her.

"What time does training start?"

"Fifteen hundred. Don't be late, Vers," he spoke, offering her a small smile as he tapped her shoulder and headed towards the door. As he closed the door, he could have sworn that he heard her squealing.  He smiled to himself and then headed back to his apartment.

------

"Hello?" asked a voice and Yon-Rogg looked up from where he was to find Vers entering the room. He checked his watch and noticed that Vers was three minutes early to the training session. He found that impressive. Normally he would have called out to greet her but - instead, he waited, hidden by the balcony. He was intrigued. He wanted to see how they would all interact together. He would wait up here until it was two minutes past the hour for him to arrive abruptly.

"You must be our new companion," said a voice.

Vers turned around to find a man with dark, tight curly hair and blue skin. He offered her a kind smile and she could tell that he had a kind heart.  "I'm Vers."

"Att-Lass. Welcome."

"I'm Bron-Charr," nodded a well-built man with white hair and a glorious beard. He nodded gruffly to her but did not welcome her. He only introduced himself.

"Korath," nodded a darker skin man who watched her with wary eyes.

The doors to the training hall opened, revealing a beautiful woman. She had blue skin like Att-Lass with dark hair and high cheekbones. Vers' jaw dropped when she saw her.  "Boys," she said with a wave of her hand before walking further into the room. She paused when she saw Vers. "New recruit?" she asked more to the boys and not to Vers herself.

"I'm Vers," she spoke to which she received an eye roll from the other female member.

"Minn-Erva... Calm down," spoke a familiar voice to Vers. Yon-Rogg had appeared which suddenly caused all members of the team to stand up straighter.

They bowed their head in acknowledgment of their leader. "Yon-Rogg," spoke Minn-Erva. "Apologies."

"Starforce. This is our newest member of our team. Please welcome, Vers," spoke Yon-Rogg as he wrapped an arm around Vers, pulling her closer to him. He noticed Minn-Erva's arched eyebrow. Yes, she was jealous already. It'd be interesting to see how Minn-Erva and Vers would react in the future. "Right. Let's start training."
