Minn-Erva left the training in a huff with Yon-Rogg following her, leaving Att-Lass and Vers alone together. "Was it something I said?" asked Vers, wondering if her joke had been poorly received. She was just trying to break the ice and it seemed that it may have offended one of her new companions.

Att-Lass shrugged his shoulders. "Don't concern yourself with Minn-Erva. She's simply jealous of you."

Vers blinked, surprised that Minn-Erva would ever be jealous of her. "Of Me? But... I'm pink skinned." She paused. "I'm also not as good as a warrior as she. I can't even knock Yon-Rogg off of his feet."

"Measuring yourself against Yon-Rogg is futile."

"How so?" asked Vers with raised eyebrows.

Att-Lass chuckled. "You should focus on your own strengths."

"But Yon-Rogg said he was just trying to make me the best version of myself."

"Did he?"

Vers nodded.

"It's absolutely that then."

"What?"

"Minn-Erva is jealous of how Yon-Rogg treats you."

Vers snorted. "Yeah, sure, that's definitely it. Treating me so well by throwing me on the ground constantly during sparring matches.. Absolutely his favorite then..." she said, wagging her finger at him.

Must be a Terran gesture, thought Att-Lass as he chuckled. Nevertheless it was somewhat amusing. "Being the only female, she was used to be the center of Yon-Rogg's world."

"Why would being female matter?"

"Must you be so thick-minded." Vers reminded him of a child. Naive like a child who didn't understand the opposite sex's gaze. "Minn-Erva has feelings for him."

Vers faltered. "I... I thought that we weren't supposed to speak of feelings."

"The Kree may choose to mask their emotions to the world but we, Kree, are some of the most passionate beings in the universe," spoke Att-Lass. He watched Vers' surprised facial expression and smiled softly. "You surely must know that we are passionate lovers."

Vers felt weird all of a sudden as her stomach tied itself in knots. She didn't like this very idea.  It unnerved her and she didn't know why. "You don't mean to say that Yon-Rogg and Minn-Erva are lovers?"

A hearty laugh escaped Att-Lass' lips. "Hardly. She is simply infatuated with him and wishes it whilst Yon-Rogg... He's never spoken of his affections. He's a solider through and through." Att-Lass continued walking towards the door before pausing to glance over his shoulder to Vers. "Well? Are you coming?"

"Where to?"

"A bar, of course. That's where we go after training."

"But what of Yon-Rogg?"

Vers faltered. For some reason, she felt powerless. Unsure of what to say to him. Would Yon-Rogg approve or disapprove? Would he want to join? Heat surged to her cheeks.

"Go along, Vers. I'll join you two later," spoke a voice as Yon-Rogg appeared behind Att-Lass. He walked towards Vers and then patted her shoulder gently, noticing how regret filled her mind. "It's alright."

"I... I am..." she began but was hushed by Yon-Rogg's index finger pressing against her lips. Att-Lass quirked an eyebrow on the sidelines, watching their interaction with widened eyes. So the rumors were true..

He shook his head. "Oh Vers, there is nothing to be sorry about. Go enjoy your time with Att-Lass."
