I sigh and nod. "Yes ma'am. I'll think about it..." I sit next to her and start to eat my food. I didn't like thinking about not having powers.
Carus jumps onto her bench and started to eat out of her bowl. She ate it pretty quickly like she was starving.
"Hey Mom did you ever find out why Carus's collar keeps getting drained?" I asks looking the collar. That's where the Ardor is kept for the Amicus.
The mom shakes her head no. "I can't figure it out. It drains pretty slowly though." She says taking her medicine. It's been a mystery for the last couple years.
Carus looks up at them. "It's fine as long as it's refilled." She says licking her chops happily. She didn't usually worry about her collar.
"So Vitrea have you been studying for class?" My mom asks looking up at me. She seemed to be trying to keep herself awake. Mom never missed dinner.
"Well I've been trying but most of it is power studies... I can't really train for those..." I can softly. Mom just not a little dazed. "Uhm mom what kind of crystals did you find?" I ask a little worried.
"Oh they very stunning purple crystals... They seemed to dance in..." She says her words trailing off. I sigh and shake my head. "No wonder your tired... Let's get you to bed." Purple Ardor was the energy of mental powers. It's a wonder mom managed to stay awake this long.
"Alright... That sounds good..." She muttered as she followed me to her and Dad's room. Mom really needed to work on resisting that kind of stuff. Not that I'm better though. I don't have any defense for powers really.
I lay her down on the bed and leave. I figured she needed the rest. Carus was looking at me worried. "Is she going to be okay?" Carus asks worried.
I smile and pet her a little. I was a little worried too. "We'll take her to the doctor if she's not better by tomorrow." I promised. I sat down at the table to finish my meal.
Carus curls up on the floor still worried. She was very protective of mom. I smile a little and look at my watch hearing it ding. It showed a very simple message.
I know your powers.
I just look at it confused. It didn't say who it was from or elaborate what that mean. Know my powers? I don't have any powers. It's probably just a joke one of the kids at school were playing.
