Chapter 47

Kris' POV

Slowly opening my eyes, I could see that I'm in my old room and some hair is covering my face. Wait! Since when did I have long hair? and the last time I check I was blond not brunette. Looking to my chest I can see someone sleeping, sweeping the hair to the side I can finally see the most gorgeous woman in the universe with her hair scattered everywhere, lips partly opened with a bit of drool coming out, and cute snores, none other than my love, my wife and my boss Katrin Dane-Smith.

She seems to be having a good sleep but I really have to pee, waiting for a couple more minutes just staring at her perfect face waiting for her to somehow move from my chest which seems to be impossible, I slowly and carefully lifted her head to a pillow and covered her properly with the blanket before going to the bathroom and doing my business.

After flushing everything I stayed standing at the doorway just admiring the woman on my bed. Katrin doesn't look her age, for a woman who's 40 she still has the face and looks of a woman in her 20's. That's one reason why people never judge our age gap, I look mature for my age and she looks young. 

Realizing that I look like a creep for watching my wife too much I decided to get dressed in some of my clothes I left here and walked to the kitchen where everybody seems to be noisy.

"Morning guys!" I shouted to everyone making them look at me, some with smiles and others with huge smirks on their faces.

"sooo.... fun night ha?!" Trish said wiggling her brow as I sit next to her

"I don't know what you're talking about" I said drinking some coffee trying to hide my reddening face.

"don't play coy with us dork" Len said nudging me from the side.

"you all are just talking nonsense" I said trying to be cool.

"Oh! did Katrin 'oversleep' again?" Kristoff said putting his paper down and drinking some coffee but with a devious smile on his face.

"Kristoff!!" I shouted now really looking red and embarrassed for them hearing us last night.

"what?? I told you to tone it down last time. You can't blame me for anything" she said putting both hands up and laughing after.

"It's okay man, good thing you're cast was removed last week. It's kinda hard doing that with that on" Pip said patting my back. 

"Oh my God! not you to Pip!" I said covering my face with my hands getting frustrated at all their teasing.

"What's happening here?" I heard Kat's voice coming from the kitchen entrance.

"Wow! I never thought I could see you wearing those" Terry said shock at Katrin's clothes.

"What? they're comfy and plus they're Kris'" Katrin said walking to me and hugging me making everyone look at us with stupid smiles on their faces.

"Hi" Katrin whispered after pulling away but making our foreheads touch.

"Hello" I said smiling goofily at her admiring how beautiful she is.

"Okay, love birds stop with the mushy stuff and let's eat breakfast, your kids are probably hungry by now" mom said turning away from the stove and walking to the table with food in hand.

"Man! I need me some woman" Pip said making us laugh at how serious he looks.

"you and I both Pip, you and I" Trish said patting his shoulder.

We eat breakfast full of laughter and contentment being surrounded by people that matters and will always matter in our life. I never imagine having my very own family, be a parent to two amazing children and a wife to one of the most admired women in the business industry. Life is good
