James smashed his fist through a wall in his room, putting a dent in it. He ripped his hand out of the crumbled plaster and saw he went through another person's wall. The agent in the room next to him looked through the hole and raised a brow. James glared at the man and walked out of his room quickly, heading toward the nearest elevator.

"Buck, hold on! Stop walking so fast!" Steve shouted as he caught up with James. The soldier turned around and held a tight grip around Steve's throat.

"You promised me that she'd come home last night. You said I had nothing to worry about. You really think that I'll be okay with her name being marked M.I.A?"

Steve struggled to breathe and James released his friend after glaring at him.

"Buck I didn't know she'd go missing."

"But you knew she'd be in danger. Yet you had to put the idea of working on the field in her head. Weeks of hard work and training just to end up missing. She could be here right now Steve. You don't know how angry I am." He turned back around and walked into the waiting elevator.

"I'll get a squadron together. I'll have every occupant of this organization looking for her. I promise I'll fix this."

James looked at him brokenly as the elevator doors separated them. After a few minutes, he arrived at Director Fury's office.

"Fury, I need to talk to you. Now." His voice was harsh as he spoke.

The director lifted his head from a file he was reading and saw the enraged soldier. "Barnes, I know exactly what you're going to say, and I fully intend on getting agents out there and looking for her."

"You don't get it Nick! She's not just another one of your agents!"

Fury stood and narrowed his gaze. "I understand what you're going through. Just give it a little time."

James slammed his fists on the glass desk, making it shatter everywhere.

"I don't have time. I'm out of time. If you're going to send people out, then send them. But this is my top priority. I'm going out there and I'm bringing her home, and you can bet that if anyone stands in my way, I'll kill them." James said lowly, as he stared to leave.

Fury watched him leave and sighed. "Hill, how is our mercenary team doing?"

A woman by the name of Maria, answered her com. "Just fine sir. We've had a new recruit step forward for a position. He should be there shortly."

Fury nodded and noticed someone in the doorway. "Come in. You must be the rookie."

"Brock Rumlow sir. It's nice to finally meet you."
