Victoria raised her head and looked around.

"Good to see you're awake. We've been waiting a few hours." Rumlow told her.

The girl went pale as she tried to move her hands.

"Don't try that. We've made sure that those ropes are good and tight."

Her struggling slowed as she looked at the man. Fear was evident on her features.

"I'm of no use to you. You don't need to keep me here. I just want to go home and go back to my father." She begged the agent in front of her.

"But you are home. And you father...?" He moved aside and let her see out a viewing room. She heard the sound of someone hitting the wall and shaking the tempered glass. When the figure rose, Vic had to keep herself from crying.

James had picked himself up from the floor. His shoulder had been ripped from the socket and his eye was swollen shut. He spat a mouthful of blood to the ground and went to take a swing at his assailant, but was hit again, and knocked to the floor.

"Please stop! Stop it! You're going to kill him, please! Don't hurt him." She screamed.

Rumlow shook his head. "He needs to learn his lesson."

Vic started to struggle again, trying desperately to escape and help her father get out.

"Just Stop!"

The ground beneath them trembled as the agent looked at the girl. Her eyes we no longer the silvery blue they had originally been. They were now blood red. The ropes around her began to smoke as a golden glow covered the girls form. Rumlow took a step back and watched in fear as the ropes burned away from her form.

"Let. Him. Out." She growled as her hand filled with light. She held it out in front of her and broke the tempered glass.

"Jason, what did you pick up out of that house?"

She turned to Rumlow and picked him up by his shirt collar and lifted him a few feet in the air.

"You heard me. Let my father go."

The agent struggled and clawed to be free of her grasp.

"You're not a human. You're something more. You're a mutant." He said in fear.

Her eyes narrowed as a wave of light spread through the room, knocking the agent back against the wall, knocking him out.

She ran through the shattered glass and went to her fathers side.

"Dad, wake up, please," She shook him lightly.

James' head rose slowly and saw the child shaking him.

"...V...ic..."

She nodded and helped him up.

"I've got you. I promise. I'll get you out of here." She told him, helping him walk.

"How...did...y...ou...?"

"It doesn't matter. You need to save your energy. All that matters is that we're still alive and we're almost out of here."

They encountered agents along the way and she was able to knock them out just by looking at them. She took the S.H.E.I.L.D. jet and took off back to the base where they belonged.

The only place that was safe for them.
