Luke's POV

We've been home for only a few hours and Mom has already made family plans. We're going to have dinner with out new neighbours, which can't worse than the last ones. They had screaming children that woke me up in the morning and a bratty teenager, who was nothing but trouble. Blaming me for leaving drugs in her house. I couldn't have been happier that they moved to be honest.

Reluctantly, I got ready. I just wore my usual black skinny jeans, a blue flannel and my old converse.

We walked over together, Mom Dad and I. A small women with short black hair opened the door and welcomed us in and introduced herself as Colette.

I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and turned to see-

Holly's POV

I hurried down the stairs while fixing my hair. I looked up quickly and smiled at Liz. Then I looked to see a familiar tall, blonde, blue eyed boy staring at me. I greeted Adam, Liz's husband and turned to the unnamed boy.

'Hey, it's you again' I said happily.

He smiled and said hello, less awkwardly than last time.

I told everyone that we recognised each other from the campsite. We continued chatting as we made our way to the table. Mom gave out everyone's dinner and sat down at the table. I sat beside Mom, opposite Luke and Liz while Adam sat at the top of the table in between Mom and Liz. We made small talk through dinner. I found out Luke was in a band. He looked proud when he told us, which was pretty adorable. We kept making weird eye contact throughout dinner. I wasn't sure what he was thinking, his face was pretty unreadable. I couldn't help but notice how beautiful he was. Like really stunning; his hair was tall and quiffed, he had broad shoulders and long skinny legs and his smile was so contagious and warm.

After dinner we all went into the sitting room. The adults drank wine while Luke and I were left with nothing so I offered him a drink and led him back into the kitchen.

'We don't have any beer so is coke alright?'

'Yeah anything is fine thanks'

I handed him the coke and we sat on the kitchen counter together.

'So you like Blink huh?' He said referring to my top.

'I love, they're awesome!'

'I know right. I saw them in concert a few months ago and they were so epic.' The way he talked about them was so whole-hearted. He was so passionate about music.

We chatted more and argued playfully about the most random things like which skittle flavour is the nicest and if we were stranded on an island what's the one thing we'd want. I said my guitar but Luke wants his dog, Molly. He promised to take me over to see her soon.

'Can I use your bathroom?'

'Sure I'm pretty sure your Mom just went into the one downstairs but I'll show you the one upstairs.'

He followed me up and I told him I'd be in my room. I went out onto the balcony and lay down on my back looking at the stars. It was something I used to do at home. It was nice to see that the sky still looked the same, obviously stars were different but I didn't take much notice of that. I wanted to take my guitar out and play for awhile but I remembered Luke and his family are still here, so I got up and walked back into my room to find Luke looking at the shelfs.

'Oh sorry I didn't know you were so I just came in here to wait and then I saw your CD's which are pretty cool and I'm so sorry I wasn't snooping I swear and' I cut him off. He was rambling as if he had just been caught committing the worlds biggest crime.

'Chill Luke, your grand. I don't care it's not like you'll find anything in here most of my things aren't unpacked yet.' I said walking over to stand beside him.

'You know not much girls around hear like music. They're all into shopping and looking for a guy on the football team.'

'Omg! Shut up, no way! They are so my people! I just love to spend my Saturdays having the lols with the gals and catching up on all the latest goss!' I said sarcastically.

'Oh. My. Gosh. Did you hear Samantha and Kevin broke up again after he cheated on her with her best friend again, so not fab.' We laughed at how lame our impressions were. We sat on the edge of the bed still talking away.

I found out that Luke and I are in the same year and I'm going to be in the same school as him. It'll be so nice to know someone there.

The last thing I remember was me resting my head on his chest lying on the bed talking about things while he played with my fingers. I opened up so much to him in such a short amount of time. I felt so comfortable with him as if I'd known him for years. I just hope I don't ruin it like I do with most other things..

Luke's POV

This isn't happening. This isn't happening. This cannot be happening. The beautiful mysterious girl from the campsite walked down the stairs and introduced herself as Holly. She remembered me, which is kind of embarrassing because I made such a shit first impression.

I sat opposite her at dinner and I couldn't help but steal glances of her every so often. She was gorgeous, her big green eyes gleamed as she talked to her mom, it was obvious she had respect for her and admired her. They told us that they moved half way across the world for a new beginning. They didn't tell us why and I got a look from Mom telling me to shut up and not ask.

After dinner Holly and I stayed in the kitchen and talked. It was such a silly but important conversation. Important to me anyway, I felt like I've known her for ages but I also was nervous around her. Butterflies when she looked at me.

I needed to use the bathroom so she showed me the one upstairs and said she'll be in her room. But when I went to find her she wasn't there so I figured I'd just wait for her to come back. I noticed she had an awesome music collection on her shelfs.

Holly came out of nowhere, I swear! One second I was alone and the next she was right beside me. I panicked incase she thought I was snooping around but she just laughed lightly. We sat on the bed and talked about everything and anything, I didn't want to bring up family and luckily enough she didn't. Not everyone needs to know how messed up it really is.

She's starting school next week with me, in the same year and school!

She fell asleep with her head on my chest as we lay on top of the bed covers on her bed. The butterflies came back again as I looked down at her. She was nothing like your typical girl. Most girls, with the exception of one or two, were fake and slutty. Holly was so down to earth and easy going. Her heavy accent was so comforting. I felt myself doze off shortly after she did.

I was woken by Mom and Colette poking me. It was still dark outside so why would they disturb me? Oh yeah, I'm in bed with her daughter which must've made me look like an ass but she didn't seem bothered by it. Mom told me to get up we're going home. I looked at the clock, 4am. Holly was sound asleep and we were still in the same position. I didn't want to but I got up, thanked Colette for having us over and went across the road to bed. I realised I could see right into Holly's bedroom from mine. I fell asleep quickly thinking of Holly.
