"Jenna! hurry up, Lillian is ready and you're going to be late for school!" my mom shouted.

Of course! i should have known that even though we had moved nothing would change. I'm still the bad daughter, the runt, compared to my perfect sister Lillian. The world still basically revolved around Lillian. Ugh! i should have known that here in North Dakota it wouldn't be any different than it was in Florida! and here is my mom to prove it. Why did i even let myself hope that here everything would be different. The only plus side to this whole thing is that i didn't have to share a room anymore with my perfect barbie doll of a sister, that was a disaster. Imagine, pink and black colliding with Lillian's half of the room covered with movie stars and hot boys and her annoying pop music playing all the freaking time. Meanwhile my side was covered with pictures of rock bands, and much to the annoyance of my parents, vampires.

But that was enough ranting for now, i really did need to get ready for school. So i quickly put on my black mini skirt with my studded belt, a black and silver of the shoulder shirt, and finally my favourite black combat boots. I also applied some black eyeliner real quick, got my black messenger bag from my bed, and raced downstairs.

From what you just read you may think that i only wear black, but that's not true, I also wear red, purple and silver.  I do like most of the colors, except pink, i really hate pink, but i tend to sick with dark colors as a way to be different.  I mean, all the girls are always wearing light barbie doll colors so by wearing dark colors i stand out.

"Finally!" my sister exclaimed when i got to the kitchen "I was about to text Jake saying that i wouldn't be able to meet him before class."

"Well, why didn't you fucking leave without me? i don't want to go to school anyway!" i retorted.

To which of course my mom intervened saying "Now Jenna, i've told you before not to use that language with your sister. And you are going to go to school and that's final!"

"fine" i muttered under my breath as i dragged my feet over to the car and sat there waiting for Lillian and mom to arrive so we could go to school.

A minute later they both arrived and we started the 20 minute drive to school. I sat there in the back seat listening to Lillian's annoying pop music station on the radio, meanwhile i could tell mom and Lillian were having a silent conversation through their thoughts, probably about the pack. Ugh! sometimes i really hated being the runt.

You see, that was the main way i was different from my family.  They were all werewolves, or shifters, whatever you like to call them, but no, i had to be the stupid runt that couldn't have been a shifter and was just human.
