Clash of the Kingdoms

Chapter 1 - The Five Kingdoms

Before you read, I want to note the story does contain spoilers of films that include ROTBFTD.

It was the 100th unfortunate anniversary of the infamous feud between the two kingdoms - the Blaze Kingdom and the Frozen Kingdom. On the exact date of this anniversary, a battle would take place in either the Arena of Ice (Frozen Kingdom) or the Arena of Fire (Blaze Kingdom). Both kingdoms would take turns to have the battles annually. The reason why these battles took place was to try and prevent a war between the kingdoms, and it had worked so far.

Especially important people (such as royalty, etc.) from two other local kingdoms would attend the battles each year.

There were five large kingdoms locally (smaller kingdoms consisting of places such as Weselton). These included the Frozen Kingdom, the Blaze Kingdom, Berk, Corona and the Dark Kingdom. Little is known about the Dark Kingdom, including the citizens (if any at all), it's whereabouts and what goes on there. The kingdom exists, but those who go there tend not to return. There are many books and reports about the place that have been found on the outskirts of the kingdom. It can be located on an island near Corona, and some records have been found in Corona or in its waters.

Then there's Berk, famous for the majority of citizens owning a dragon as a pet. The most famous thing about the place is Hiccup, the leader of Berk. He discovered that dragons aren't violent, destructive creatures (mostly) unless you make them have to be that way. He trained a dragon named Toothless, and inspired the rest of Berk to do so. Unfortunately, his father passed away, leaving him to lead Berk.

Then, there's Corona. This place has never really had issues, except when Princess Rapunzel was lost at a very young age. She married a thief named 'Eugene Fitzherbert', more commonly known by the name 'Flynn Rider'. The kingdom itself generally hasn't really had wars or associated with violence.

The Blaze Kingdom and the Frozen Kingdom both contain royals with the powers to wield either fire or ice. The royals of the Blaze Kingdom consist of former Prince Hans of the Southern Isles and Merida Dunbroch. Merida is the cousin of Hans and is the princess of this kingdom whilst Hans is king.
