Julia sighed as she trudged around the shop, tossing random items of food into her cart. She dumped a loaf of bread into the cart and carried on, eyes down as she dodged around the other shoppers. She reached the shelves loaded with

shampoo and soap and her eyes slowly travelled up the towering shelf as she stood before it.

And of course, the only bottles left had to be on the top shelf.

She cursed her height as she attempted to reach up and somehow grab a bottle, failing each time. She glowered at the

shampoo and debated on whether she should keep trying or just leave and wait until they re-stocked the shelves. But she

didn't particularly like the idea of having to go without a shower so she tried again.

She reached up, her arms stretched desperately, but her fingertips didn't even brush against the shampoo. She looked

around and when no one was looking, she jumped up and tried to seize hold of a bottle. Her hand knocked against the

shampoo but didn't manage to grab it.

This was so fucking embarrassing. She couldn't believe she couldn't even reach the shampoo even if she jumped.

She froze as she heard a soft chuckle behind her and she turned around. There was a guy stood there, in his early twenties maybe. He was tall and had brown, curly and almost fluffy looking hair that Julia had the odd urge to run her hands through. It looked so soft and feathery.

His skin was pale and his dark, amused eyes watched her from behind long, thick lashes, a smirk

stretched his pale lips up at the side.

Julia thought he was beautiful. But then she asked herself if she'd really just thought that. Did she

honestly just think that this guy was beautiful? Julia usually didn't think that kind of stuff about other guys, as far as

she was concerned. And she hadn't ever thought about a guy like that before.

"Need some help there?" the guy asked, still smirking at her.

"Uh...," Julia managed to choke out, blinking rapidly. "N-no, I'm... I'm f-fine."

"Right," the guy grinned again. "So you were just randomly jumping at bottles of shampoo for no reason then?"

"Erm... well...," Julia mumbled. "Uh, yeah?"

The guy laughed and effortlessly snatched down a bottle without even having to go on his tiptoes. He held the shampoo

out towards her, smiling softly.

Julia slowly reached out, pulling the bottle from his grasp, shuddering at the electric jolt that ran up her arm when her

fingers came in contact with the guy's freezing ones.

"It's cute," the guy comment, still smiling at Julia.

"Excuse me?" Julia asked, eyes widening.

"You are. You're cute," the guy informed her. "Cute and small, y'know?"

"N-no... uh no, not really," Julia replied, her mind refusing to form a proper sentence. She felt self-conscious and stupid

in front of this guy.

"I'm not... I'm not cute," Julia added, her voice shaking.

The guy snorted. "Sure you are honey."

"I am not," Julia insisted, her brow knitting together in anger that was slowly building up. Shee hated it when people ignored what she said. "I have a boyfriend."

Something dangerous and dark flashed across the guy's eyes then and he muttered something under his breath that

sounded a lot like 'not for long'.

"What?" Julia asked, still frowning.

"Nothing," the guy replied smoothly, a smile sliding perfectly in to place on his face.

"Oh... um, okay well... thanks," Julia mumbled. "I'll see you around."

She quickly turned away, wanting to get away from this beautiful and yet extremely creepy stranger.

"You sure will," she heard the guy respond.

She turned around to look at him, but he was already gone.
