Coming back, Dōgen was pleased I had at least got a duplicate from the ordeal. But his praise fell on deaf ears. Last night was a disaster, the culmination of everything wrong with Hebijo. And the girls began to see it that way as well.

But they said nothing...like me...

Right now, it was noon, finishing up a meal made by Yomi and I. She does love bean sprouts...but to satisfy the meat enthusiast in our group, I added pork. She didn't like that I spent money on my own, but retracted her criticism.

I guess last night's events were enough to realize how far we have gone to not necessarily care about the little details.

"Ara~ I guess we can at least say Hebijo got lucky~"

"Lucky my ass! I had no control over myself last night!" Mirai called Haruka out.

"I have this new emotion...I think 'dread' is the word?" Hikage admitted. "Dōgen seemed happy,"

"Yeah, happy to watch his little guinea pigs do shit for him, while he does jack!" The little one remarked, as the last of the dishes were put away.

Sitting down with a cup of tea, I simply thought back. When we got back, Rin said nothing of the events that transpired. She was taking orders from somebody who wasn't even a Shinobi. I could see it, but these girls seem to forget that aspect; Hebijo is corrupt.

"...it is quite strange..." Haruka hummed, an inquisitive look upon her face.

"Girls..." I said, gritting my teeth. The cup was already broken due to my hand clenching too hard on the ceramic. The hot tea was scalding, but I felt worse. "Maybe Hebijo isn't for us?"

"What?!" They all exclaimed.

"Look, Kagemitsu...I know that it isn't the greatest, but we shouldn't be like that. Rin or Suzune, whatever she wants to call herself, I'm sure she has a plan," Yomi told me, worried about my outburst.

"..." Homura was still very conflicted. As she scrunched up her features...and pretty much crossed her arms around other features, there was an inner turmoil.

She was there to see all of them being thrust into danger without consent. All for an outsider.

"Why do you care, Kagemitsu? That's an awful lot of anger coming from you," Haruka questioned, as I rubbed my hand, waiting for it to heal; Chakra manipulation helps.

"My friends were almost lifeless monsters...I do not like it. I have been here for nearly a year now...and the things I have seen have affected my perception on this Academy," I stood up, grabbing the Kurohariken off the futon. "If so...I'd rather do what I want. They obviously care little about even the elites-"

"Is that so, Replica," Ah, Rin showed up. The other girls rushed to their respective bows, but I for once didn't join them. "Why so hostile?"

"...Rin...you created me to aid Hebijo...not a blonde investor. He has been strolling around this academy since we met, and even is allowed to learn things no outsider should be aware of. And that talisman mission is the icing on the cake," I told her, surprising her. I get it, this level of autonomy should not happen.

"What do you plan to do? Kill our primary source of income for this school?"

"No...I am going to fight Daidōji. Let off some steam from this mess," A kunai stopped me. It was Rin again.

Looking over me, with a glare, she simply adjusted her glasses and turned around.

"No. You are staying here. Got it Replica?" She told me. "That's the same for you girls; the next phase of the Replica project requires you five,"
