Yesterday, I was purple
I am the night sky, created by all that gaze upon me,
Giving and living, a shield for what lays beyond.
I am a sentient being, wondrous in what we can do;
But solving problems and leaving new ones in our wake.
I am creative, going where no one has gone before,
Creating markers for those lost in the dark after me.
Today, I am green
I am the seas that lap upon the shore
Giving salty licks to the shells and sand.
I am the foliage surrounding every part of our world
What keeps us here, alive and grounded.
I am reused, rolling around in figures,
Always circling back to my lifelong home.
Tomorrow, I can be orange
I am my own favorite, shared with all,
Being all that I can be, with no gravity to pull me back.
I am one of my loved mismatched socks,
Giving off a light glow that tells you everything, yet not
I am a bald eagle, brave, proud, and true;
Soaring high above the limits of reality and space,
Setting the sky on fire as a giving light source sinks,
Creating my own world,
In which we all live in.
