Winter had come to an end, and spring started to peak around from the corner. Utaites who had been busily doing their jobs during the season finally had time to take a break.

A few Utaites had agreed to throw a party for all the hard work during the cold season, and that is what happened. Tonight, as an Utaite, I had to attend the party.

Not that I disliked my friends and fellow Utaites, it's just, being indoors is what I preferred, rather than go to a social event. But a crush of mine, Soraru, is going to be there, so I decided to give it a shot.

After putting on a mask, I then headed out my house, heading towards where the party should take place. I passed by streets, crowded and empty, cars speeding by as the light provided by the lampposts illuminated the dark road.

Having arrived and pulling down my mask, before I could even knock, the door was immediately opened by a close friend; Kuroneko. "U/N-chan! Come in, come in!" She says, motioning for me to enter as we did.

"Minnasan! (U/N)-san's here now, let's continue the party!!" Kuroneko announced, followed with the happy cheers of everyone else. This caused me to embarrassedly blush, lowering my head.

Of course, the party went on, but I only sat in one corner. Listening to my own music as earbuds were stuffed into both of my ears, observing everyone and of course, my crush, Soraru, who was also sitting in a corner at the opposite side of the room.

Everyone seemed to have their masks lowered. Of course, this was a social event, so everyone knew each other, and they had no need to put up their mask. Not like there was a creepy stalker, anyways.

I peeled my gaze away once our eyes met. 'He caught me staring, this is embarrassing...such a cliche...' I thought to myself, gaze now directed at my phone as the party went on.

Little by little, I felt myself grow bored of the situation I was in. Little did I know, Soraru felt the same as well, sharing an obvious state of being a shut-in.

3rd person
Having enough, Soraru began to walk towards the lonely female, wanting to engage a conversation as well. The both shared a crush with each other, but were too shy to even confess.

"Hey, (U/N), was it?"

A voice interrupted my train of thoughts, as I stared in surprise at the owner of the voice; the one and only Soraru. I was quiet surprised why he came up to me, out of all the people in this place that was available.

"Yeah...uhm...hello, Soraru-san." I replied awkwardly, bowing as he let out a quiet chuckle, sitting beside me.

"Feel free to drop the formalities, (U/N)-chan." He said, showing a soft smile towards me as I returned the favor. A conversation then began between the both of us, speaking about random topics.

"So, how're you enjoying the party, Soraru...-kun?" I asked, hesitantly adding the '-kun'. "Oh, no offense, but it's kinda boring." He says, sighing. "Ah, I think so, too!"

Silence then reigned between the both of us, and the said male began to speak up. "So, you wanna do something else?" He suggested, and I nodded, wanting to cure myself of boredom.

"So...you wanna go with me for yozakura?" He asks shyly, a light blush reigning on both of our cheeks as he said that. "Yes." I said, beaming at him brightly as he sighed in relief.

After successfully sneaking out of the party, the both of us sighed in relief, as we began our walk towards the nearest park, with our masks on, of course. The sight of bright lights illuminating the dark surroundings, cool air hitting our skin.

We then arrived at Chidorigafuchi Park, a famous hanami viewing spot in Tokyo. We then sat beside each other on the grass, close to the river and below a tree as we smiled in satisfaction.

Lights illuminated from the lampposts hit the river, mirroring its brightness. The starts from above were shining brightly, along with the paper lanterns that were temporarily placed for the spring season. Sakura petals were scattered towards the whole area, giving off a calm, relaxing vibe.

There were barely any people here, considering the time. It was just me and him. My heart was pounding in my chest, blush not fading a single bit. I took a glance at Soraru, who also had a red face like mine.

Sakura petals made their way to our heads, falling ever so often. I quietly giggled at the sight of him with sakura petals scattered on his head. He didn't seem to mind, though.

I shivered slightly due to the cold weather, which the said male beside me noticed. "Here, take it." He offered, taking off his scarf and handing it to me. "I could never, aren't you cold too?" I asked.

"You need it more. Besides, I'm not that cold." He said, and placed the scarf around my neck gently, making sure that it wasn't tight enough to choke me. Our faces were red as ever, not fading a tad bit.

"Thank you, Soraru-kun." I said, leaning my head on his shoulder, causing him to jolt in response. He relaxed, smiling under his mask.

"(U/N)-chan, I have something to tell you." He says in a serious tone, finally mustering up the courage to confess his sugar-coated feelings towards me, which, in short, remained unknown for me.

"What is it?" I ask, adrenaline rushing through every single vein of my body.

"I...I like you. I've like you for a long time, ever since I saw you on Nico Nico Douga. I've been listening to you ever since, and I like every single thing about you. Your voice, you looks, your personality; everyting. Will you please be my girlfriend?"

I was utterly shocked at the words he spoke. Ny body couldn't comprehend the happiness I felt. Soraru, my crush, likes me back. I felt so overjoyed, so happy...

"Soraru, I like—no, I love you too! Of course I'll be your girlfriend!"

After having said that, I hugged him in the process, in which he happily returned the favor. Pulling down both of our masks, he leaned in for a kiss, and I kissed back.

Maybe going to the party wasn't so bad; after all, I did get together with my crush.
