The Darkness Behind It All

I woke up rubbing my head. It felt like a rock. I noticed it was dark outside, which meant I wasn't leaving anytime soon. I was still thinking about what they said on the news, was this really happening. "you want it" I heard a voice say, no one was around though. I felt like I was insane... I rolled off my bed an walked to the kitchen, I wasn't very hungry so I just got a drink. My mouth felt like a dessert in the middle of nowhere. "You want it" I heard again. "what do I want?" I angrily replied. I waited minute an got no reply. "Go outside an you'll find out" I heard, I oddly wanted to go find out. But then it could lead to trouble. Something pushed me to go so I slowly walked to the front door. I was thinking of what could be on the other side of the door, an animal? A person? with one swift move I opened the door. I seen nothing but there was white dots floating across the street. "go to them" I heard the voice say. "can I trust it?" I whispered. "everything will,be okay" it replied. Why was I trusting a voice that had no body or form? Snapping out of my thoughts I realized I was walking towards the floating dots. Coming to realize it was that creature I seen earlier. This was strange. Once I got so close it slowly put it's arm under my knees an around my back an carried me to a strange an dark place. Why was it being so gentle? I couldn't see anything but after walking it put me down in what felt like a chair. I sat there in silence until I saw a torch coming my way. "don't be afraid" I whispered to myself. Starting to shake a man walked up to me. His eyes softened when he got a good look at me. "Hey, my name is Jake." He Said with a slight smile. "Jesse" I blankly replied. I felt odd... He had light green eyes, full lips an a black necklace

. Not to bad. I could tell he was thinking of what to do with me by the way he was looking at me. What was he thinking? I carefully watches his every move as he scooted towards me. "So you know why your here?" He asked. "No" I stated. "Wow, I thought you would've known..." He said with his head down. "What do you want" I said throughout my teeth,I jerked towards him in the chair the realized my as an legs were tied Down. I groaned in anger and to the slight headache I was getting. He just stood there giggling at me in an evil tone. I wasn't scared nor nervous. I heard a sharpening noise in the distance behind the man. "Damnit" he groaned under his breath his breath waking away. I sat there tied to a chair watching toward the horrid noises. Screams an cracks filled the place I was in.After the noises had stopped I shorter man walked in. "I thought I'd never see you again, but yet here you are tied up to a chair."he deeply chuckled " You always were one to be drafted to danger." I stayed silent trying to remember him while he untied my hands an feet. He pulled me through a dark tunnel for about 5 minutes before seeing a light along the way at the end. The closer we got to the light their I could see his face. He has light blue grey eyes. His chest was kind of poked out, naturally though.

He wasn't bone skinny not big he was the perfect size.He wore light tanish colored leather boots with a small heal,I could tell by the noise his made when he took a step, strong feeling hands an he was kind buff. "Elaine?" I whispered. " Jesse." He replied. "I thought you was dead I haven't seen you in years" I gasped. "Nope, I've

been around" he replied. We walked the rest of the way in silence until we reached my house. "Do you know what happened?" I asked.

I got no reply from him but a blank expression. I wonder what he was thinking right now... We got up to my front door an he opened it up for me. I stood there wondering what to say but instead he pulled me into a tight hug. As my instinct screamed I hugged him back. "I'm glad your well and awake now." He said into my neck. "Me too" I whispered. I hadn't even realized he pushed me into the house while hugging me, after he let go he shut the door. Oddly, I didn't want him to leave. Thinking an seeing had memories coming back from us hanging out together. I really missed him after he disappeared.

*3 months later*

Nothing has really changed, except the weather. It's a cool wind but the sun keeps it warm. Everything was still destroyed an really I got sort of used to it. Although a few people have turned up

from ruble, I thought they would've been dead. Really didn't want them being around all the time so Elaine an I fixed the house next door to me an they are now living there. It was fine having Jocy am Caleb around at first bit I like being alone to. Elaine an I have connected an were very close now. He comes an visits everyday an takes care of me. He's a good man. Sometimes I wonder why we're all here still. Some places are fine but most aren't. I went an laid on my bed a fell asleep within a few minutes.
