"So are we finding out the gender today?" The doctor asked Lizzie at her 24 week appointment. She looked between Lizzie and Scarlett and then the excited three year old with them.
"Just me, but no one else." Lizzie said, the doctor just smiling in response before squirting the blue gel onto her stomach.
"Mommy, is dat baby?" Rose shrieked, eyes wide as she stared at the black and white image of what looked a little bit like an alien.
"Yeah, that's the baby."
"Ok, this is how this is going to work. You," the doctor pointed to Scarlett, "are going to look away and you, little lady, you're gonna keep your mouth shut."
Rose just nodded, the excited grin never leaving her face.
It didn't take longer before the doctor was whispering into Lizzie's ear and pointing to the screen. Lizzie had to keep herself from squealing at the news.
