I had woken up to the sound of knocking at the door and the sound of muffled crying, opening my eyes feeling panicked I looked around and found Jungwoo in the corner with his head in his hands and shaking violently seeing this i rushed over and comforted him

"Hey Jungwoo it's okay it's okay shhh slow breaths" I told him holding him to my chest and did my best to mimick our breathing the knocking stopped for a moment which helped in calming him 

"You okay now" I asked pulling back to see him he looked up at me and nodded his eyes bloodshot and cheeks stained with tears "good boy come on let's get you back on the sofa" I helped him stand up and supported him walking to the sofa and helping him sit down

"I'm just gonna see if there's someone here back in a minute" I ruffled his hair before walking down the hall and opening the door to find Johnny standing there "Jaehyun finally bro" I smiled sheepishly to him "sorry Johnny but uh whats up?" I asked leaning against the door frame

"I saw you weren't at college today so I brought you the papers we were given so that you don't fall behind" he said as he unzipped his bag and pulled out a couple papers "oh thank you" he handed me the sheets before slipping his bag back on his shoulders "it's no problem hope to see you tomorrow as we have practical" I told him I would try before bidding eachother our farewells and closing the door

"Sorry Jungwoo that was just a friend dropping off some work for me" i told the fragile male as i sat down next to him his only response was a nod "so um how are you feeling" he fiddled with his fingers and bit his lip "yes thank you for helping me Jaehyun" his voice was very soft and barely above a whisper that i nearly missed what he said "its no problem I'm glad you are okay now" there was a pause before i decided to ask a more nosy question "so how come you were on the streets? Are you comfortable enough to talk about it?" I asked watching his reaction cautiously he didn't respond for a while but i waited patiently giving him time

"I'm sorry but i don't trust you to talk about my previous living conditions but i am very greatful for everything you have done for me" he offered an almost broken smile his eyes glassy with unshed tears i decided to drop the topic and try to lighten the situation 

"Well how about we pop a movie on and bring out the good old game of monopoly" with that i jumped up from the sofa which made Jungwoo flinch at the sudden movement which i apologised a bunch for before heading down the hall to bring out the ancient game.

"What!! No way you cheated!"

"Um hello no i didn't you just ain't good at this game"

The sounds of both our yelling filled the once quiet house as we came to a close with the game. Jungwoo had unfortunately - not - lost to me by going bankrupt which he thought was highly unfair and declared a rematch as we were playing he seemed to come out of his shell quite a bit and his once very quiet voice turned up many notches and became full on shouts as he got worked up it brought a smile to my face as i watched the beautiful being in front of me blossom like this

"I don't agree with this i have been cheated on with this Jaehyun start this game again" i chuckled at his cuteness and shook ny head "no we should really start heading to bed now its quite late and i need to go to college tomorrow" his demeanor changed drastically the once happy puppy turned back to the sad and scared one "you won't be home tommorow" he questioned softly i shook my head sadly "no i won't be home till late but my butler will be here and he will take care of you I'm sure he will even play a game of monopoly with you so you can practice" he giggled quietly and lifted his head up showing his beautiful smile "okay"

We cleaned up the board and left the box on the coffee table so it would be ready for his game tommorow if he wanted "Did you want anything to drink or actually anything at all before we get you to bed" i asked him as we walked down the hall towards the stairs he thought for a while before asking softly "could i have a glass of milk please" "of course go on up to your room and get comfy I'll bring you up a glass in a sec" he nodded and went upstairs while i went to the kitchen filling a glass with milk before heading up to Jungwoo's room where i was met with the cutest sight

Jungwoo was snuggled up in the duvet cuddling a pillow to his chest the lamp casting and orange glow to the room adding to the cosy feel i smiled to him and walked over placing the glass on the night stand "sweet dreams Jungwoo I'm just down the hall if you need anything" and with that i left the room and headed to bed

When i arrived home from college the next day i greeted John who took my things and hung them on the hooks as i took off my shoes "sir Jungwoo is waiting in the living room waiting for your rematch of monopoly there was also a delivery for you that i put in your room on your bed" John informed me i thanked him and dismissed him before going into the living room to see Jungwoo sitting on the floor in my jumper that was way to big for him playing with the tiny place markers smiling at the cute sight i walked over and nelt down next to him which caught his attention a small smile graced his feathers

"Welcome home Jaehyun how was college are you ready for our rematch John helped me practice i think i will definitely beat you this time" Jungwoo rambled on making me chuckle

"College was alright thank you for asking pup and we shall have that rematch right after you try on your new clothes i heard they have arrived" he pouted a little but stood up with me and we headed to my room

I ripped open the package and took out all the clothes inside "the bathroom is right across the hall try them on and show me okay" he nodded understanding and took the clothes and waddled to the bathroom

I might just die from his cuteness...
