Chapter 18

"Hyung! For god's sake! I already told you! I got over the freaking bet! It's more than that now!" Yoochun's scream could be heard half way across the restaurant, and from where I stood, I saw him stand up, slamming his hands angrily against the table.

"What bet?" I questioned, curiosity gnawing at my every nerve. I approached the table and stood behind my chair with my hand placed on the back of it.

Yoochun, who had stiffened in his spot, slowly began to turn his head towards me.

"I told you Yoochun. Tell her. Now." Jaejoong's voice came out smooth, but a darkened tint could be detected if you listened closely.

Yoochun stared at me, with large, regretful eyes. He continued to keep his mouth sealed in a tight line, refusing to budge.

"SAY IT YOOCHUN! OR I'LL SAY IT FOR YOU!" Jaejoong yelled, now standing up as well. His chair screeched as the legs grated across the restaurant floor. Various heads turned to see what was going on between the two teenage boys.

"I..." Yoochun's voice sounded strangled, as though he was being choked, his last words before his death.

"Chunnie ah, what bet?" My voice rose an octave, and my foot began to drum against the ground, both in impatience and curiosity.

"I... Jaeyeon ah..." Yoochun looked down at his food, and slid his fingers across the white velvet tablecloth.

"Oh my-" Jaejoong began in an unbelieving tone before switching his sentence, "FOR FCKS SAKE YOOCHUN, YOU'RE SUCH A KID! JUST FCKING SAY IT!"

I watched with wide as Jaejoong grabbed the glass cup filled with water off the table and slammed it angrily onto the ground. The shards of glass glittered like crystals as the they flew in every direction, and the water splashed everywhere, glimmering as the droplets flew in the air.

Soon, many waiters had ran over to the scene. "Sir, please calm down or leave." One of them said, gripping onto Jaejoong's upper arm.

Jaejoong threw the waiter's hand off his arm before letting out angrily, "I'd be glad to." He pulled out multiple bills from his wallet and threw them onto the table. Then, with one last glare at Yoochun, he exited the restaurant.

"I'm sorry for all the trouble." I bowed to the waiters who just gave me a small smile, before tending to the mess left by Jaejoong.

"Yoochun, get up. Now. We're leaving." I grabbed my purse off the table before tugging on Yoochun's arm and dragging him outside. I hailed a taxi and shoved him in before following suit and getting into the car.

The ride back to the hotel was silent, and once we reached the entrance, I pulled out a few notes from my purse and handed it to the driver with a word of thanks.

I got out from the taxi and stormed back to the room with Yoochun shadowing behind me.

I knocked roughly on the door and waited for it to open. After a minute of silence and waiting, the door opened to Taemin, who was wearing a smiling on his face. It slipped right off once he saw my expression.

"Jae-Jae, what's wrong?" He asked, as he looked over my shoulder and glared at Yoochun. "What did you do?"

I walked passed him and threw my bag onto the bed, grabbing a change of clothes out from my suitcase and walking over to the bathroom.

"Oh, one thing, Yoochun." I said, pivoting around on my foot to face Yoochun, who stood beside Taemin, his face forlorn. "I'm not going to pressure you into telling me exactly what you guys were talking about, but I'd like to think that you'd be a man and come out and tell me." I turned back around and shut the door behind me.
