(17th of October,1979) Regulus' POV
Carina is now a month old and she is a very well behaved baby. Never cries unless she's hungry, hurt or soiled herself. She's started smiling and making gurgling sounds. I love her with all my hear. But I have to do something and might not be able to raise her anymore. I needed to take her someplace safe.
I then remember what uncle Alphard told me on his death bed. He'd told where I could find my older brother if I ever needed him. I knew Sirius would keep Carina safe. So I wrap her in a warm blanket and put my clock on.
I left my flat and flew to Muggle London. Where I landed in an alley and shrank my broom before heading into the straight. I find my brother's street and apartment building. I enter and ask the receptionist for his room number then go to his floor.
I pause outside his door and look down at Carina. Then knock on his door. He opened and was shocked to see me. "May I come in Sirius?" I ask him and he lets me in before locking the door.
"How did you find me?" he asks me as I sat on his couch.
"Uncle Alphard" I state.
"Why are you here Regulus?" he asks me.
"For her" I say revealing Carina.
"You had a baby?" he says surprised.
"It's a long story" I tell him as I smile at Carina.
"I've got time" he tells me.
"Long story short, Renee died and I was given a mission to kill a new muggle-born along with its family. But when I got there, it was twin muggle borns and I couldn't do it. So I wiped their parents memories gave them new identities and sent them Egypt. I took both girls and dropped Hermione on a doorstep of a muggle couple in London with a note. But I couldn't leave Carina, so I adopted her. Though everyone believes she is my true daughter and that Renee died giving birth to her" I explain.
"Wow, you surprise me" he says and looks at Carina. "May I hold my niece?" he asks me. I gently lay her in his arms. "So why introduce me to her now?" he asks me.
"I had no one else who could look after tonight" I tell him. "Our disowned cousin Andromeda is her godmother. But she is celebrating her daughter's seventh birthday. I knew you'd protect Carina with your life" I state.
"So what are you doing?" he asks me.
"Something dangerous, but could help defeat you know who" I tell him. "I must go now, if I don't make it, Kreacher will send you a letter. Please give Carina to cousin Andromeda" I tell him and leave. I go back to the tree and look at the locket I had Kreacher create.
"Kreacher" I call and he appears. "Take me to where the dark lord took you now" I order and he does so. We arrived on a rock into the middle of the ocean before a large cave.
"He took Kreacher in there" Kreacher says pointing to the cave.
"Good, remember the plan Kreacher. Make me drink every drop of the potion no matter what. Then switch the lockets and leave. Destroy the original locket no matter what" I tell him.
"But what of you master Regulus?" Kreacher asks me.
"I knew I could die tonight, I just hate that I'm leaving Carina. Please watch over her in secret" I tell him.
"I will master and I won't fail you" he tells me earnestly. We go into the cave and I sacrifice some blood we then went on the small boat to the small island. I look at the potion and used the shell cup to scope some up.
"Remember Kreacher I drink the whole potion, not you and don't stop even if I order you too" I order him.
"Yes master" he says bowing. After three scopes I started to feel the effects. But Kreacher made sure I continued to drink even when I begged him to stop. "I have it master, I switched the lockets" he announces.
"Good, now leave" I say hoarsely.
"I can save you master, please let me save you" he begs.
"No, destroy the locket watch over Carina and obey my brother. You are his now" I rasp. He leaves with a pop. I crawl to the water and take a drink. Suddenly Inferi appeared and dragged me into the water below. My last thought before I drowned was that at least Carina will be safe now. The dark lord will no longer be immortal with the Horcrux gone.
(Granger Residents) Third Persons POV

"Oh John I love Hermione with all my heart" Jean says as she holds her daughter close. They adoption was approved and they moved into a bigger house in the suburbs. Hermione it such a clever baby and loves her bedtime stories.
"So do I Jean, she is perfect like you" John says wrapping an arm around Jean. "Our family is finally complete" he states. "Are you sure you can look after her while I'm at work?" he asks her.
"I'll be fine" she tells him. She grabs the bottle of milk and checks the temperature. Then starts to feed Hermione.
"You know we'll have to tell her the truth one day, we promised each other" he reminds her.
"I know, we'll do it when she turns eighteen" she tells him. "Until then, lets enjoy our time with our daughter" she states. John agrees and goes to finish his paper work.
