"Ok, you ready to try it?" Talbot asks me. He, Penny and I are in a secret room. To test if my training has worked and if I can turn into an animagus. Amber is with us to, perched on the back of a chair.
"Yes, I just think of turning into an animal right?" I ask the pair.
"While thinking of your patronus animal Badeea taught you to produce" Penny tells me.
"Where is she, Tulip and Andre?" I ask confused.
"Badeea is helping Tulip study, she has been allowed to take her exams early. She'll take them after the new year. Andre is having one last lesson with Madame Hooch" she explains.
"Wow, I'm happy for her. I hope we'll all see each other over the summer" I tell them.
"It would be nice" she agrees.
"Now, try thinking of turning into an animal" Talbot tells me. I nod my head and think of my barn owl patronus. I think of my arms turning into wings, growing a tail, getting clawed feet, my nose and mouth becoming a peak. I feel my self shrink and I open my eyes once the change was down. I look up at the pair and hoot happily.
"Wow, you're a beautiful black barn owl" Penny says excitedly. "Talbot, show her how to fly" she tells him. Amber flies down over to me hooting as she looks me over. Talbot turns into an eagle and Penny opens the window.

Talbot showed me how to fly and once I had the hang of it. We flew out the window with Amber. Penny said she'd give my stuff to Badeea. I fly in a straight line as Amber and Talbot show off. I can't wait to be able to do flips and dives like them. But that'll take practice. We head back to the castle to Ravenclaw tower where there is an open window. It's empty as basically everyone had gone home for the holidays. Those who didn't are either reading in the library or outside playing in the snow.
When we enter the room I realize Talbot never showed me how to land. I end up going head first into a bowl of chips someone had lead out.

Talbot turned human and laughed at me. As Amber looks at me in amusement as she lands gracefully on the back of a chair. I glare at them both as I flip over and turn human again.
"Ha ha, very funny" I grumble as I dust the chips off. "You both forgot to show me how to land" I state.
"Sorry Carina, but that was so funny. I wish I had a camera" he chuckles. I roll my eyes as I remove the chips from my hair. "But it proves you're an animagus, remember no one can know" he tells me.
"I know, so when do you guys leave?" I ask him curious.
"Tomorrow" Badeea states as she enters with Penny and Tulip.
"So soon?" I ask sad.
"Yes, but don't worry. Tulip will be here" Penny assures me.
"They believe I'll have less distractions her then at home, so that I can study properly for the exams" Tulip tells me.
"I can help you, I'm gifted with DADA. My cousin is an auror and I'm one of the brightest in my year" I tell her smiling.
"Thanks, that'll be a good help" she tells me smiling.
"Who else is bright in your year?" Talbot asks me.
"My best friend Hermione, she's like the sister I always wanted. She went home for the holidays" I tell them. "Anyway, lets all go have a snowball fight" I tell the group. They agree and we rug up, before running outside. We start to play and Andre soon joins us. Us girls team up and beat the boys.
"You girls cheated" Andre whines as we go inside to warm up.
"Just because there was more of us, does not mean we cheated" Penny tells him.
"Did so, the teams were uneven" he states. Us girls giggle smiling at each other. Man I'm going to miss these guys. Penny took us to the kitchens where the house elves served us hot chocolate and marshmallows.
(Christmas day)
"Carina wake up!" Tulip shouts as she jumps on my bed. I grumble turning away from her wanting to continue sleeping. "Come on, wake up" she whines as someone else joins in on her jump.
"What do you two have against sleeping in?" I grumble.
"Nothing" Padma states.
"But it's Christmas morning" Tulip adds. I sit up straight.
"Why didn't you say so?" I demand and get out of bed slipping on my slippers. "Race you to the common room" I tell them and rush out of the door.
"No far, you had a head start!" Tulip whines as they run after me. We arrive in the common room to see Tony and Robert (boy prefect). "Merry Christmas" Tulip tells them as we gather around the tree.
"Merry Christmas" they say. Padma and I return the gesture.
"We sorted them into piles" Robert tells us.
"Yes, it goes; me, Carina, Padma, Robert and Tulip" Tony states.
"Honestly Anthony, finding the presents is part of the fine" Padma tells him.
"You know I prefer being called Tony in our tower" he reminds her. She rolls her eyes as we go to our piles. I discover I have seven presents and frown. I open the ones from Nymph, her parents, and Hermione first. They each gave me books. Hermione gave me a copy of Hogwarts a History, Nymph DADA by Galatea Merrythought and her parents one on magical herbs. I then got sweets from both Harry and Ron. A knitted green sweater with a 'C' on it from Ron's mum with some chocolate fudge. Last a charm bracelet from the Malfoys.
I go up and change putting on the bracelet & jumper. We then all go down to the great hall for breakfast. I go sit with Ron and his three brothers. I notice Harry sitting by himself looking into the fire of the fireplace. "What's wrong with Harry?" I ask Ron.
"Nothing" he assures me.
"Ron want a game?" George asks as he beat Fred as wizard chess.
"One moment" he says and goes to talk to Harry.
"Carina, want a game?" George asks me.
"You're on" I tell him and push Fred down. Taking his place as he grumbles. We set up the game and George starts us off as he is white. Ron returns and whines saying he was suppose to face George. "You were to slow" I tell him. "Pawn E5" I say and the pawn moves. "Besides you can face the winner" I add.
All in all, Christmas was good. But still nothing on Nicholas Flamel. Tulip is ready for her exams. I sent thank yous for all my gifts, including one to the Malfoys for the bracelet. I even received thank yous and you're welcomes from a few of them.
