Jake and I let go of our embrace, he gave me soft smile.

"You will be okay, I promise."he said in a soft tone. Jake somehow always gave me the slightest bit of reassurance that I needed the most.

"I can do this" I muttered to myself more than jake.

After giving jake a slight shrug I reached over and opened the car door, entering the cat and pulling out my suitcase. It was never supposed to be like this. My parents loved me, I thought they did at least. After moments of sitting there and trying to comprehend why parents would abandon their child I decided it was finally time to say goodbye and go into the foster care building. I hugged jake and he squeezed me tight. A tear rolled down my cheek. I know I cry quite often but I couldn't help it. It was at that moment that I decided I would no longer shed tears for someone who didnt shed tears for me.

"Sage, hun. Are you ready?" Jake's mom gave me a sad smile, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes. I'm ready."

I turned to jake last minute, and shoved my teddy bear in his arms.

"Keep this for me." Was all I said before his mother and I walked towards the building.

"Hello."a lady at the desk grinned, "I'm irene. How can I help you?"

"Hello Irene. I'm Anna Moure. I'm here with miss sage, you guys were expecting us?"

Irene smiled. "Ah, yes. Hold on just a second." She typed on her keyboard and turned to look at me. "Sage hunny, can you give me your birth date?"

"Yes. June 20th, 2001." I replied absently.

"Alrighty. You're all set." Irene said softly. "Okay darling. You'll be here until either the court papers in for the request of miss moure being your legal guardian come in, or until we find you a foster family."

Anna gave my hand a tight squeeze, and followed that by a hug.

"I love you sweetheart. Jake and I will visit. No worries. The court papers shouldn't take long I promise."

I nodded, and grabbed my suitcase as Irene stood up indicating she'd take me to where I would sleep.

"Bye now" Anna said before she walked out the door.

"Alright sweetie. And this is your room, you will be rooming with two other girls your age. Breakfast is held at 8 am, lunch is held at 11 and dinner at 6 pm. I think that about settles your tour. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be at my desk in the front office and I believe you know your way around."

"Thank you." I answered hushed and dragged my things down in the room.

Irene left and I decided to take a look around the room. I sat on the bed that would be mine, I almost set myself to lay down when the door opened.

"Oh my god. You're here!" A blonde haired girl with Auburn eyes stood in the doorway, how unique.

"Oh. Great." A red head behind her sighed.

"Excuse her. She's just rude, and butthurt that she has to share the extra space. She grows on you though" she giggled, then turned around to glare at the red heads angry eyes.

"My names Elizabeth, and this here is amy" Elizabeth pointed at the red head.

"Oh, hi. My names sage" I offered an awkward smile.

"We know." Amy rolled her eyes.

Elizabeth then slapped her in the back of the head, and gave her a look that could kill.
