"Good morning, Clarkie" Eddie smiled wide. "Good morning" I tried to return his smile. "Damn Clarke" Raven gasped. "What?" I raised an eyebrow. "You look like you're the one who survived an helicopter crash" she pointed my hair. "Whatever" I ignored her remark.

I poured myself a cup of coffee. Much, much needed. "Everyone is outside" Anya popped out of nowhere. "Okay I'm coming" I started walking in that direction when I got scared. I thought I saw a monster. An horrible monster. After my heartbeat steadied, I looked over to where it came from. It was just a mirror...

Raven was right. I looked like a survived an helicopter crash. No. More like I died during the accident, then they buried me and I managed to get back. My hair looked crazy. Einstein would've been jealous right now. But no need to be a genius to know that I needed to do; brush them, immediately.

After trying my best to fix it, I headed outside to the table where everyone was talking. It was so good to all see us together again.

"Good morning" I said as I sat down between Jasper and Monty. Everyone said it back or simply smiled.

Everyone had to go back to their lives soon. It's been 2 days since none of us worked. For most of the people it's not that much of a big deal, but we are all so invested and passionated in our jobs that it seemed like an eternity.

I glared over to Lexa multiple times without even realizing it. Sometimes, we would caught each other's stare. Usually, we would hold it until someone snapped us out of our bubble, but this morning, everytime, she looked away. Was everything alright?

Oh my... How did I forget that? How did I forget the kiss? Yesterday I was too tired to think about it. I don't know what she was thinking of when she did it. Maybe it was just a 'I almost died and I'm glad to see you again' type of kiss. I had to talk to her about it. To make everything clear.

"Lexa would you come with me?" I asked getting up. It wasn't really a question. It was much more of an order. "Excuse us" she adressed to the people around the table.

"Follow me" I said walking toward the house. "What's up?" She asked opening the refrigerator to grab some chocolate milk. "We need to talk" I engaged the discussion. "Yeah I already guessed that part, but about what" she giggled putting the milk back in the fridge. "About what happened yesterday" I cleared my throat.

"Clarke-" she tried to say. "No please listen to what I have to say" I cut her off. She redressed herself and waited for me to continue. "I want to make everything clear. I don't know why you kissed me. Probably because you just survived an helicopter crash. However, you and I are best friends. Never was and never will be anything more. I'm sure it's not what you want anyway so it's good..."

*Lexa's pov*
"Maybe because you just survived an helicopter crash". Or maybe more because I'm in love with you. I think somehow i always did, but I only realized it recently. I never got the chance to tell her. Why would I? She's clearly not interested. I don't even know why I keep holding on. Throughout the years, I've seen her in relationships with so many dudes: Thomas the dickhead, Jacob the fuckboy, Finn the asshole and more.

"Never was and never will be anything more". Ouch. Even if I already expected that, it hurt. Fuck it hurt.

What is happening to my heart? Am I having a fucking heart attack? I'm young, healthy and my heart is in a good condition so it's not likely.

"I just don't want to make things awkward between us. It happened once, it won't happen twice. You're like my sister and I love you as one"

The only problem with my heart was that it was breaking a little more with every single word she said. Every word was making my heart sink more.
