So l went to give my mom and dad a visit. Just to clear my mind of what had happened few days ago. I no longer have a fiancé and l lost my baby. I lost 2 precious people in my life. Even the turquoise stone is not precious as Jordan and my lost baby.

My cousins came the minute they heard that l visited my parents. I told them everything that has happened.

"So what are you gonna do about this whole situation Chris? Because it seems like you have given up on Jordan." My cousin Lisa said.

"Well l will have to find the person who framed me, so that Jordan trusts me again. Because now she doesn't even return my texts."

"Well we are not surprised Chris." John said.

We had dinner after all the talk. It was kind of sad and lonely without Jordan on the table. We would have been laughing together, she was gonna wipe off the gravy on my lips.

After dinner, I went to my room. It was still the same as I left it 4 years ago, nothing has changed. I guess Nana loved it the way it was. I miss her though, l miss the conversations we had while l still lived in this house.

I opened my closet to see if my clothes were still there. I found a note saying:"Sorry about your clothes, but we gave them to charity." I think this was Nana's idea because my mom would never think of such. I would have found them in this closet.

I saw a brown dusty box in the corner of my old closet. I have never seen this box before. Did Nana put it here or did someone misplace it? But why in my room?

So l took the box, got rid of the dust but my shirt was dirty. Argh stupid lonely box.

I sat down on my bed. It was still comfortable what a surprise.
I opened the box and l found notes. They were written with Nana's handwriting, it was still beautiful but ugly on the inside.

The first note said:"Chris if you find this box, just know that l might not be around. I have been living with Leukaemia for the past 6 years. But that is not important...." Wait what? This was not important? Why didn't she tell me this? Wait what just happened?
"But this is not important, the important thing is that you have to know the truth about yourself and your family. Well to start with. 1 Your mother is not really your mother, I am your mother. Your father was too caught up with things in the past so I was there to help him. But things didn't go as I planned. I'm sorry honey for keeping this secret from you."

So my Nana is my mother? I sat there like a statue. These idiots have lied to me for the past 25 years, I have been living with liars.
"After I found out that I was pregnant with you, I told your father. And by that time he was already with your 'mother', so we kept you as a secret. Then few months later before you were born we told everyone and we vowed to never speak of this again. So I gave you to your new mother who promised to take care of you because I couldn't. I'm so so sorry darling that I kept this from you. I love you."

I stood up, took the box and went downstairs. The was happiness in their faces. I stood there looked at them from the stairs above, I walked slowly downstairs. Slow motion evil walk.

"I need to speak to all of you." I throw the note on the coffee table.

"What is this honey?" My 'mom' said.

"Read it." I said.

I watched them as they were reading the note. Their facial expressions changed as they read the note. I sat down and leaned on the couch. I took a sip of my cousin's coke. Damn it was delicious.

My 'mom' stood up crying and she went to her room upstairs. I looked at the others who looked at me like they didn't know anything.  I smiled at them and their eyes widened.

"Son, I'm sorry for keeping this secret from you. I wanted to protect you..."

"Protect me from what?" I said as I pulled a smile on my face.

"From everything son." He said.

"Oh wow. What a reasonable reason." I said as I laughed. I took my car keys and went to my car.

"Chris wait." My cousin stopped me."Look I'm sorry about how this turned out."

"Its okay bruh." I said then I got in the car. I drove out as she looked at the car with a frowning face.
