Chapter 12: Miscarriage

Today was a day that Caroline had to put the pills inside Jordan's food, and if she fails then her family is in trouble. It was either she tells Jordan and Chris or get fired once they find out the truth, and they might get her arrested. Who knows.

She thought about this whole situation all day. She texted Sarah telling her that she has the pills inside her bag and that she must leave her family alone once everything was done. Sarah agreed, as long as she gets news when Jordan lost the baby.

She prepared dinner, and she waited for Chris and Jordan to get home. As soon as she heard the front door open, she started to panic. She thought about her family during that moment.

She put the food on the table, when Chris and Jordan ascended upstairs to both change. Moments later Chris came downstairs alone, they greet each other and then the was silence between them. She took Jordan's food and said :"I am going to heat up Ms Jordan's food so that it doesn't get cold." Them Chris agreed. She went to the kitchen and put the food inside the microwave oven.

After it was done, she quickly pulled out the pills. She made the pills into pieces so that Jordan doesn't see them. She put the pills inside the gravy so that it won't be visible.

She took the food to the table, she saw how happy Chris and Jordan were as they both talked to the belly. It was so cute. She smiled a little just because they were happy. And she felt guilty with what she was about to do.

Chris saw her looking at them and he called her to the table with the food. They all talked to the baby and had a good laugh at the table. Then she saw Jordan take a bite of her food, especially the gravy. She wanted to tell her the truth but she couldn't.

She returned to the kitchen and call Sarah.

"Uh Ms Sarah?" She said in a low tone.

"Yes? Is the plan going well? Did she eat the food?" She asked curiously.

"Yes she did. Mission complete ma'am." She said.

"Good, l will your family alone now. But keep updating me." Then she hung up the phone.

Moments later. She heard Jordan in pain. She rushed off to the table to see if the pills were working. She saw blood on the floor and Chris was  carrying her to the door, l opened the door for him to exit. And in concern she also opened the car door so that Chris gets Jordan to the hospital fast.

So Chris took Jordan to the hospital, as soon as they got there, Dr Hurry was waiting for them. He took Jordan to the ER, it looked really bad, she was in much pain and Chris was so worried about both of them. The baby and Jordan.

An hour later, Dr Hurry came and told Chris that he had lost the child and the is a 30% chance that Jordan will be pregnant again. Chris was so devastated after the big news.

He went inside the room to check up on Jordan and he found her crying. He pulled her up to hug her. Then tears started dropping on Chris' shirt.

Few hours later they went home and told Caroline the sad news. She was sad herself and regretted what she had done to the poor woman. That was her first child and probably the last one. People are so wicked out there.

She texted Sarah and told her everything. Sarah replied with happy emoji's. Wicked person.

"Thomas guess what?" She said as she spoke to Thomas over the phone.

"The baby is dead?" Thomas said as he smiled sinisterly.

"Yes. And Jordan might not have a baby again." She said as she laughed. "So this is win win for me and you. We are going to get what we always wanted. Peace out." Then she hung up the phone.

Thomas continued to rejoice in his office, he opened a bottle of champaign and called Emma to join him. They were making merry.
