We got home after the test. The was silence during our way home. No one bothered to say something or even turn on the radio. I was still thinking of the pros and cons of having a baby in our lives.

The would be total bliss, and at the same time l won't be able to see my child very often. Now that l am left with 2 days of vacation, l have to go back to work. The worse part is that, who is going to take care of Jordan if l was gone. I would be worried at work, and what about my patience?

So we got home, l tried to speak but before l could get the words out of my mouth, Jordan open the door and rushed to the house. So l just sat l just sat in the car with my thoughts.

"Sir?" Simon said (our security guard).

"Uh...yes Simon?" I said as l woke up.

"You can go to the house now, you have been here for an hour now. I think Miss Jordan is worried about you."

"Oh, thank you Simon."

Then l motioned to the house. Only to find out that Jordan was crying on the couch with a bucket of ice cream, and she was watching a movie about a couple who just had a baby. And it kind of shook my guts.

"Uhm, hey babe." I said.

"What do you want now?" She said as she cried.

I walked closer to her. "Look, lm sorry for acting like l have. I should be happy that we are pregnant. A baby is a big blessing and l should be feeling blessed right now. And to be honest, l am happy deep down."

"Are you Chris? Because it didn't seem like you were happy."

"How can an alien show happiness? Few years ago, you told me that l am an alien and that aliens don't have emotions. Thats why l don't show that l was happy."

She giggled. "Yeah l know. But sometimes you should show though. Because it really hurts Chris."

"I'm really sorry babe."

"Well you have to do better than that Chris."

She got up from the couch and she went upstairs, leaving me with her ice cream. And l just ate it, and it was delicious. But l still had to think about how lm going to make Jordan forgive me.
