Chapter 30: Going Back to Jail

I struggled to free myself from the handcuffs, and I could feel Harvey's eyes watching me do so. I gave up on trying and huffed in defeat.

"Why am I going to jail?!" I asked worried.

"I don't have the full report, but as far as we know you did something illegal." The police officer said.

"...everything I do is illegal." I said mumbling and Harvey laughed quietly. I glared at him knowing he was behind it too and he stopped laughing and looked down with a straight face.

We got to the police station and both of us were dragged inside. We passed the front desk and sat down in a tiny office with the police officer on the other side.

"Look Mr.Cop or whoever you are- I really don't have time for this so I'm gonna leave now-"

"No no Ms.Lang, it says here you and Mr.Barton climbed the Empire State Building during closing hours also known as TRESPASSING. Does this activity cross your mind?"

My face looked down in sadness remembering the event fully.

-flashback-

"Harv are you really sure we won't get caught?" I asked giggling as Harvey held my hand, both of us running towards the building.

"Yes I'm sure Soph. Besides this is one of the best date nights you could ever possibly have." He said grinning.

"Any date night is the best when it's with you." I said.

"Okay that was cute, stop being cute." Harvey said laughing as we arrived at the building.

"Oh my god we are about break into one of the tallest buildings I've ever seen." I said looking at it in awe.

"First to break in wins!" Harvey said as he dashed to the door. I flew in, decreasing in size so that I could fit through the door. I increased after and opened it for him, smirking.

"No fair! You used your powers!" He said as he crossed his arms.

"Hey you didn't say we couldn't." I said grinning.

"Whatever. Lets play hide and seek." Harvey said smiling.

"Okay. You first, and I'll count." I said laughing.

"Okay count to 30." Harvey said as he started sprinting away. I turned around and closed my eyes counting to 30.

"...28....29...30. READY OR NOT HERE I COMEEEE!" I yelled looking around in the darkness of the building. I turned on the lights inside to help me see better and I started looking around.

"Come out come out wherever you are blonde floof." I said smiling as I looked underneath one of the couches. Nothing there. Maybe he went up the elevator. I walked up and pressed the button on the elevator. It made a 'Ding' sound and it opened, but I jumped when I saw Harvey. I tapped his shoulder lightly.

"Gotcha." I said smiling.

"Oh come here you." He said tickling my sides and picking me up.

"Harv put me down." I said laughing.

"Never." He said as he walked back into the elevator and pressed up to the highest floor.

"Be careful for the wires and everything walking in, because if we set off one the alarm will go off and we are done for." Harvey said as he put me down.

"Don't worry I won't." I said smiling as I took hold of his hand and intertwined our fingers together. The elevator opened and there were red lasers everywhere.

"Oh fu- how do we do this?" Harvey asked looking around.

"Here, follow me." I said thankful that I did gymnastics when I was younger. I extended my leg further down than the other above the laser, almost doing a full split, but dragged my right arm to my right leg and bent my head below the second laser. Harvey followed close behind me a we repeated this process almost reaching the last laser.

"How are you keeping up with this whole thing harv? I didn't know you could stretch so far?" I asked.

"I errr...I did gymnastics as a kid..." He said.

"YOU DID WHAT-" I asked shrieking as I laughed out loud.

"Shhh you can't tell ANYONE!" He said putting a finger to my lips.

"Okay okay I wont!" I said smiling. "I bet those tights looked good on your a**." I said smirking. He turned bright red and I giggled at him.

"Oh my god we made it-" I said looking at the last laser at the end but right as I said that, I jinxed everything and my phone fell out of my pocket, hitting one of the lasers causing the alarm to go off.

"F*CK!" I yelled, picking up my phone and grabbing Harvey's arm. We both sped down back to the first floor and ran outside the door and back to my house.

-reality-

"Ms.Lang, do you remember this yes or no?" The police guy asked me once more. I snapped back out of my thoughts and shook my head.

"No officer. I don't remember anything. Now if you could please let me out Id like to get away from this place and him." I said looking at Harvey, but as soon as his face fell to hurt I regretted everything I said and shook it off.

"Please officer, let me go." I said looking at him.

"No. You both are under arrest and I have it on tape too." He said as he dragged us both to our separation of cells. The girl officer then took over and handed me an orange jump suit.

"Back again Sophia?" She asked me.

"Yup Officer Mandy, always back." I said winking at her.

"Nothing changed at all, except for you leaving so I think you'll be just fine." She said as she took me back to my old cell. I smiled and saw that nothing ever changed, not even the pictures on the wall that I'd get from the old magazines Mandy would sneak in for me.

"Oh- and you have a new cell mate as well." Mandy said as she locked the door behind me.

"No biggie, I'll adjust." I said shrugging. It wasn't until a while later my jail cell opened, and my new cell mate came in.

She was tall and had a resting b*tch face. Her fists were at her sides clenched and she looked like she was trying to act tough.

"Listen here, new girl. I'm Allison, the chatter in this jail, and I'll beat you up if I have to. Don't get in my way and I won't get in yours." She said spitting in my face. Mandy closed the bars and snickered at Allison because she obviously knew nothing.

I wiped the spit from my face and looked at her smiling.

"Hey do you know why those pictures are up there?" I asked her pointing at my magazines.

"Yeah because of this girl who was supposedly the legend in jail I guess, but she's gone so I'm taking over."

"NO no no no, you see that's where you're wrong. IM BACK and don't you EVER ever EVER try to come at me again before I round up my friends and whoop the sh*t out of you- oh wait no I can just do it myself. I'm the queen of this jail so don't get in my way ever. Got it?" I asked tripling the amount of spit she threw in my face and raising my voice higher than ever. The other cell mates even looked to see what all the racket was.

"Y-yes ma'am." The girl said shaking.

"Good." I said smiling as I laid down in my bed getting ready for a quick nap.
