The Winchesters drive down the paved road from the rockstar's house. The car is silent until Dean decides to speak up,
"Looks like you were right. That was a dead end." He deadpans, shaking his head.
"I guess so," Sam hums in delight. "But the bad thing is, is that we still have no idea what this case is about. Or even if this still is a case."
"Supposedly," Dean nods, "But, I do want to go back to the crop circle and see if there's any more evidence. If there's any to begin with." As he rolls his eyes, he speeds down the road and drives out of the neighborhood.
"Good idea," Sam agrees.
They drive out of the hills and into the mainstream part of LA. Once again, they enjoy the scenery, except this time is a little different since it's a little later in the day. Exiting the city, the Impala drives into the outside area of the suburbs where the crop circle was located.
When they make it to the field, Dean pulls the car off to the side of the road, like last time, and parks it. The field was placid since there were no cops or the sheriff around. The yellow "Do Not Cross" tape was still wrapped around the two trees guarding the entrance since the case was still being investigated.
The two brothers simultaneously get out of the car and walk toward the field. They cross under the tape and head to the very edge of the cut out symbol.
Silently, the boys split up to look for any specific evidence the police might have missed or dismissed as nothing extraordinary. Sam walks toward one of the trees up front while Dean starts to survey the perimeter of the field.
Sam looks at the tree and scans it up and down, looking for anything peculiar. He bends down and observes the dead grass around it, noticing that the grass around the trunk is more dead than the other grass around it. Then, he notices a small, thin piece of red thread laying across the ground, hooked onto the tree bark. He gently picks up the string and holds it up to his face to observe it. Before he can look for too long, a muffled noise comes from behind him. Sam quickly turns his head, seeing if anyone was trying to sneak up on him. He looks, but there was no one in sight. So, he shrugs and goes back to examining the red thread.
The sound comes again, it sounding more clear and precise- like the snapping of a tree branch or twig. Sam whips around, grabbing the gun from his suit pants and aims it in front of him.
Again, nothing was there, so Sam hesitantly puts his gun back and turns back to the tree. Immediately, something hard comes in contact with his head and he gets knocked to the ground. Confounded, Sam tries to get up but he's locked to the dirt by an invisible force. Children's laughter fills his ears at an alarmingly loud volume. With great force, he moves his hands to cover his ears.
"DEAN!" Sam screams. His eyes are squinted from the ear-piercing screeches in his ears.
Dean is only a few feet away from the scene, oblivious to what's going on. When Sam screams, he immediately perks up.
"Sam?!" He runs in the direction of the call for help. The scene he rushes into has Sam on the ground in pain and a ghastly-looking child in front of him. The child, a boy, has brown eyes and short, brown hair. His clothes are completely white and his skin is extremely pallor. An evil expression is plastered on his face with his eyes focused on Sam laying on the ground.
"Stop!" Dean goes to pull out his gun, but is thrown in the air and onto the ground with the simple twitch of the boy's head.
A disgruntled Dean tries to get up from the ground until a girl appears out of nowhere and creeps up to him. He rolls over onto his back, his elbows keeping him up. His eyes are locked onto the strawberry-blonde haired girl as she slowly walks up to him. Dean uses his elbows and heels to crawl away from the wan-looking girl. She reaches her hand out, her palm radiating what can only be described as static.
The older boy is finally held down, making him incapable of moving, by whatever invisible force also making Sam stay put. As the girl walks on top of him, she bends down and touches his head with her static palm. Immediately, Dean becomes comatose and falls against the ground.
The girl disappears and reappears where Sam is still being tortured by the little ghost boy. As Sam screams for help—the laughter in his ears becoming impossibly louder, the girl steps forward, her static-filled hand held in front of her, and bends down to touch his head. Like Dean, the younger immediately goes unconscious.
The ghost children look to each other and without saying a word, they fulfill the rest of their orders and disappear back to where they came from.

this was a pretty short chapter, but hey, we got some action! I hope you guys like this chapter! this was a pretty fun one to make— coming up with the ghost children and how it should all happen— it's all pretty new for me to write and I'm so excited for what's to come.
anyways, I would love to hear your guys' theories for what will happen in the future! like, what are Brendon's motives? who/what exactly is Brendon? who are these children and why are they apart of the story?
so many questions, not enough answers lol.
thank you so much for reaching, my fellow bad bitches! stay bad xx
