-Joe's POV-

at school I kept thinking about y/n and how pretty and nice she was.

-6th period-

I was taking notes on the lesson but I was barely acknowledging what I was writing down.

Teacher: ok so I want you to try numbers 3-15 tonight and start working on it now since there is time left in class, and you can work with friends as long as you get work done.
Y/n: do you want to work on the assignment with me?
Joe: huh?

I asked because I didn't really hear what she said.

Y/n: do you want to work on the assignment with me?
Joe: sure.

We finished the assignment really fast.

Joe: wow, your really smart, it usually takes me forever to get homework done.
Y/n: it takes me a long time too usually, I guess we just work good together.

I smiled and blushed a little bit.

*bell rings*

we packed up our things and met Jason outside of the school and walked home.

Jason: so what did you think of your first day at the school.
Y/n: it was pretty good.
Jason: good, are you going to do any sports?
Y/n: maybe, I was a cheerleader at my old school, but I don't know if I want to do that anymore.
Jason: why not, you could cheer for me and Joe and our basketball games.
Y/n: I might do it but would they let me join since it is already part way into the school year?
Jason: they should, I mean you did say that you did cheerleading at your old school.
Y/n: ok.
Jason: so do you want to come over to do homework?
Y/n: sure.

I was a bit jealous that Jason was talking to y/n the whole walk home and I never got to talk to her but I was glad that she was coming over to do homework with us.

-at home-

Joe: ok so since it's a nice day I was thinking that we should do homework outside.
Y/n: ok.

We went out to the backyard and started to do our homework.

Jason: I'm hungry, is anyone else hungry? I'm going to go get food.
Y/n: ok.
Joe: typical, he is always hungry.

We laugh.

Y/n: it's kind of cold out here.
Joe: here.

I hand her my jacket.

Y/n: oh, thanks, but won't you be cold.
Joe: nah, I'm fine, I'm used to the weather here.
Y/n: ok, thanks again.
Joe: no problem, are you understanding all the homework?
Y/n: yeah, I'm almost finished actually.
Joe: ok.

It got quiet and we were just sitting there
