Annastasia's POV

As I awoke this morning, the winds blew hard with so much power it confused me. I knew this was my doing, but I wasn't doing it voluntarily. That could only meant one thing. Something bad will happen. But carelessly, I avoided the thought.

"Nik!" I called, "Li!" I looked around confused. "Kol? Bekah?" I tossed my hair behind my shoulders and I gracefully made my way downstairs. The house seemed empty which was strange. Where were they? Surely they would have informed me.

The harsh winds hit the windows as a soft bang was heard. I stood at the bottom of the stairs. In an instant, I sped out of the house and opened the doors to Mystic Grill. I knew at least Nik or Kol would be here. I looked around and saw a familiar blonde head.

Making my way over to Nik, I passed Matt. I gave him a smile and continued on. Nik was busy conversing with Elijah and I quickly slid in the seat next to Nik.

"Why did you leave me in the empty house, dear siblings?" I asked as I took a sip from Nik's drink. I quickly spat it out and looked at him.

"What the heck is this!" I cried, disgust covering my features causing the both of them to laugh at me.

"It's called Sparkling water Anne," Nik laughed. "It's not that bad."

I gave him a look. "Not that bad? It's horrid."

Before any of us could speak another word, someone appeared behind Elijah making me tense.

"How are you, my beautiful Annastasia?" The figure smirked.

"What do you think you're doing here?" I scowled.

"Maybe we can talk... More privately." He says, the smirk never leaving his face.

I sighed, standing up and walked off, with him trailing behind. Both Elijah and Nik gave me a puzzled look but I discretely shook my head. I could take care of this.

I led him to the back of the building where no one could see us or hear his screams.

"Why are you here Leo?" I demanded.

"I'm doing my job," he says looking around. "The coven was very upset about what happened in Germany. And they have waited for a long time for you to awaken."

My face stayed passive. "That was over 300 years ago Leo. What have they sent you here to do?"

"All I can say, is that your sister does not share the beauty you have."

I hissed at him, grabbing his neck and tossing him to the wall. "What have you done?"

He slowly stood up, a small frown on his face. "You must understand, Annastasia, my mother can be very demanding at times."

I ignored what he said and asked again, but this time it was more of a demand. "Where is she?" I hissed, "What did you do to her!"

"My mother sends her dearest apologies." He replied.

I glared at him with hate, I demanded him to feel pain and he fell to his knees.

"Is this some joke to you!" I yelled at him. "I will not ask you again Leo, what did you do to her?"

He wouldn't give up. "M-maybe you s-should see for yourself. You're wasting time Annastasia."

I released his pain and shook my head. "Leave. If I ever find you harming my family again, past or not, I will kill you." I threatened.

He dusted off the dirt from his pants. "Then maybe you should be more careful in who you kill. I am still apart of the coven, and one more kill from my family, and we won't play nice."

"I didn't know what I was doing back then. And I payed my respects." I reasoned.

"You know my mother Annastasia. She likes to hold grudges." And with that, he disappeared.

I sighed and made my way back home, hoping to find Bekah there.

When I opened the front door, I was instead met with Nik, who had his arms crossed.

"Explain."

I shook my head at him, "I need to find Bekah first."

"We can do that after you tell me who that was and what the hell happened."

Looking at Nik, I knew he wouldn't budge so I sat down as Elijah made his way down the stairs.

The three of us sat comfortably as I began.

"His name is Leo. I met him about 400 years ago. We became close friends and he introduced me to his family. His coven. Around a century later, I went on another killing spree. His aunt, the leader of the coven's sister, tried to stop me. But she wasn't strong enough and by mistake, I killed her. I didn't know what I was doing until she stopped breathing. Then the coven found out, and I had to leave." I took a deep breath before continuing.

"They couldn't find me, I was good at hiding and killing those who knew too much. I wasn't afraid of what the coven would do to me. They couldn't kill me, I'm immortal. But for a time, they were my family too. And I didn't want to face them. I was ashamed for killing my own family. But I guess they were planning their revenge because the leader of the coven, Leo's mother, likes to hold grudges. Especially towards me, she could hold the grudge for more than 600 years. She never liked me." I looked up at them, their faces filled with mixed emotions.

"When she found out I was awaken, she couldn't wait to find me. Of course she sent Leo, because she knew I wouldn't kill Leo. He told me he went to see Bekah, and I know he must have done something to her."

"So now we need to find Bekah." Elijah confirms.

I nodded, "They must have targeted her. They know how much family means to me."
