I Never Dreamed...

"Come in guys! Pasok kayo! Welcome to my humble abode!" Aly shouted to her team mates as they walked inside her condo unit.

The place was a gift from her parents when she graduated high school and passed the entrance exam in her current university where she's taking BS Psychology. But being a volleyball player requires her to stay in a dorm together with her playmates kaya naman minsanan na lang niyang mapuntahan ang lugar na ito like today. They just finished their lunch somewhere and decided to pass by her place since its also near to the restaurant where they ate.

The condo is actually her sanctuary. Kapag kailangan niyang mag-isip, magdesisyon, mapag-isa, lumayo sa problema pansamantala, lumayo sa taong kadalasang dahilan ng kanyang kalungkutan, she'd run to this place, run to her room and stay there for a long time. There, in her bedroom, she would feel safe, secure, at peace and happy. She's in her own world.

"Guys, just feel at home, okay?" sabi niya sa mga ka-team mates niya. "There's a rack of DVD's and music CD's there, pili na lang kayo. Remote controls inside the cabinet, there's also an XBox and Playstation we can pull out if you prefer to play instead," hinihingal niyang sabi sa mga ito.

"Ang laki ng place mo, Captain! In-occupy mo yata buong floor ng building!"

"This place is awesome, 'Ly!"

"Ang sarap tumira dito, Captain!"

"Top floor, nicest view outside, huge place, wonderful entertainment options. Can we stay here for good, Aly?"

"This place is amazing! Mag-isa ka lang dito, ate Aly?"

Iba-ibang reaksyon from her friends. They all looked happy and excited being in her place.

"Thanks guys! Ahm, just feel at home, ok? Prepare lang ako ng drinks and snacks."

"Food!!!! Awesomess!"

"Ella PG!!!" sabay-sabay na reaksyon nilang lahat sa nagsalita.

"Whatever, girls! Whatever!"

"I'll leave you for a while. Enjoy kids!" biro niya sa mga ito.

"Ahm, need help?" she heard someone ask.

The smile faded for a while nang marinig niya ang boses nito, pero ibinalik niya iyon bago lumingon sa nagsalita.

"Ahm, it's okay Den. Kaya ko na 'to. Just enjoy with them." She tried her best to give her her sweetest smile para wala na itong masabi. At agad na tumalikod na siya at pumunta sa kusina.

"O....kay."

"O.....kay." Yun lang ang nasabi ni Den bago siya tinalikuran ni Alyssa.

She's really avoiding me. Bakit kaya? Ano bang nagawa ko para iwasan niya ako?

It's been two weeks since she felt the animosity from Alyssa. Bihira na siyang kausapin nito, kibuin dili kumbaga. She really couldn't remember kung ano ang naging kasalanan niya sa babae. Hindi na niya nararamdaman ang special treatment na ipinadadama nito sa kanya dati.

Naman, Den, nagtataka ka pa? sita sa kanya ng utak niya. Sino ka ba naman kumpara kay Aly? She's everything, while you....you're nothing! She's the Phenom of volleyball, samantalang ikaw, ano? Hamak na libero ka lang. She's famous, she's a goddess, and everybody loves her! Eh ikaw? One of those ka lang, and yet you expect she'd treat you special? Wake up girl! Reality check! You misunderstood her sweetness towards you. She's the captain of your team, of course she would treat you, and the rest of the team, with much care. Responsibilidad niya yun bilang team captain ninyo. Huwag ka ngang assuming! At saka, ikaw, papansinin niyan? Look at yourself in the mirror and compared with those girls na naging girlfriend niya? Wala ka sa kalingkingan 'te! Kaya stop dreaming!
