"Morning dad." Ellie greeted as she entered the small kitchen.

'Morning." Remus answered with a far off look in his eyes. Ellie knew what he was thinking about.

The full moon.

"you'll be fine." She mumbled as she kissed his cheek and went to gets some pancakes. "I know I just can't help but worry, the wolfsbane only does so much." He mumbled. This caused Ellie to lightly chuckle to herself as this was what happened every month when the full moon arose.

Ellie just rolled her eyes with a grin on her face as she began to eat the half-burnt pancakes. Burnt pancakes were not an uncommon thing in the Gray-Lupin household as was the broken toaster, spoilt milk in the fridge and the brown, used to be white, carpet that lay beneath their feet.

They were an odd family, but Ellie wouldn't have it any other way.

12 hours later and the usual energetic home had come to a complete standstill. All you could hear was the rustle of the leaves and the blowing of wind.

The full moon shone brightly above them, the cause of the silence, but it was also the cause of the loudest noise.

A wolf howling.

Ellie was gently wisped off into a land of dreams. Her mind was weary of the familiar shadow at the back of property that their tiny cottage lived on. She knew of the dangers, living with a werewolf, but that didn't stop her from loving Remus any less.

She had learned to ignore his howls in the middle of the night as she waited for the morning when she would help heal him.

She had turned 10 last week and the process of evolving had begun. Dumbledore had warned her for this, but she didn't know if she was ready. The evolving caused her abilities to be enhanced by tenfold. Leaving her with dreams, visions, weird feelings and small clips playing throughout her mind.

Not much happened during the day as she lived a normal life however, as soon as her eyes began to forcefully close visions racked her brain. Old and new, long or short they always came. They were vague and gave her no useful information whatsoever, but she knew, that as she grew her powers would grow and enhance. Small useless clips would turn into riddles she had to solve to reveal the answer.

For her birthday, Ellie had requested specific gifts and Remus had successfully exceeded all expectations.

A simple deck of old-fashioned Tarot cards.

A crystal ball that could transform into a necklace for better transport.

A tea set with specific Rosemary and Green Herbs tea leaves.

And lastly A diary. Gifted to her from professor Dumbledore, identical to the one he got her those few years ago. It was old looking and bound in leather.

After the visions had begun the Professor had come to visit her gifting her with one last gift before informing her that he would like to meet with her every Saturday at the Hogwarts castle to learn how to siphon and control her abilities.

His last gift was in the form of an enchantment and a wand. The enchantment on her room, allowed her to use her new wand, 14.5 inches, Aspen with a core a werewolf's fang, to draw memories from her brain like little blue glowing worms and places them on her walls so she, and only she, could view them.

Her wand was Aspen and was a white, fine grained wood and was very sturdy, it was a long 14.5 inches and had the core of a werewolf's fang, specifically requested by Ellie herself. As she was underaged she was not allowed to use her wand unless for the specific enchantment that Dumbledore had granted her.

The enchantment became very useful quite quickly as most visions, Ellie had learned that she didn't remember. She was also able to look back on all the old ones she had in the past, like a memory.

After a big vision, that was usually very vague and mainly used symbols to communicate, Ellie would use the tools she got for her birthday. She had a special ritual she performed after a big vision. She would first put the memory on her wall before proceeding to view her crystal ball, do a tarot card and tea reading before adding the symbols onto the wall along with the memories.

The diary she had gained from her birthday was used as a journal of sorts, keeping track of her visions and what they meant. It also became a Diary as she wrote about her experiences and how she dealt with situations relating to her gift.

She hoped that she could pass it onto the next  host of the spirit who was currently dormant in her. She wanted to be able to pass on her knowledge and her experiences to help the next in line.

After Ellie's tenth birthday it was like her abilities were activated, her visions increased and got bigger, but they also got vaguer leaving her with symbols to decrypt. It soon became apparent that her eyes glowed a bright gold whenever she was using her abilities.

Dumbledore explained it as the spirit taking over her body for a short period of time to send her these visions. He also believed they would eventually reveal herself to Ellie however, when they would he didn't know.

Ellie soon became accustomed her new-found abilities and enjoyed playing around with them experimenting as she went to determine what activated them and what reduced them.

However, a negative of these abilities would be the sleep. Ellie's sleep pattern had once again been thrown out of whack due to her visions and it left her tired and exhausted.

She was always finding it hard to fall asleep as thoughts and emerging visions crowded her brain, but once she was asleep you couldn't wake her. To help with her sleep Ellie began to make her own tea concoction. It was made out of Lavender, Rosemary and Lemon drops.

Along with her tea Ellie was forced to start taking a wizarding medicine called Neurobastio to help reduce her visions during the day and to uncrowd her busy mind. She took the medicine every morning in the form of a gummy bear, her favorite sweet.

They along with the tea became an instant relief and Ellie felt as though her life was finally coming together despite her hardships.

One random day, Saturday to be exact, on a sunny afternoon Ellie was at Hogwarts were she frequently visited despite not being eleven nor a student.

She was there for her sessions with the professor, but she couldn't help but feel like something was wrong. She had recently been having strange visions whenever she touched an object and she couldn't control it.

"It's called psychometry." Professor Dumbledore announced as if reading her mind. "It's not uncommon for seers to gain it as a secondary source to gain visions." He explained.

"What does it do?" Ellie questioned with concern. Her psychic abilities were hard enough to control alone.

"It just means that whenever you touch something relating to a vision you will get small vision clips that will hint at the future." He finished.

"Oh." She mumbled unsure of what else she could say as she began to stare out the window and lose concentration.

Dumbledore sighed before facing her "I think that's us done for today, oh and before I forget." He handed her a book labelled All seeing Seers, a guide to seeing into the future.

He smiled giving her a quick hug before bidding her goodbye as she left the castle with Professor McGonagall who had become her personal chauffeur and one of her favorite professors.
