A ringing interrupted them.
Castiel huffed out a deep breath that rushed across Dean's lips, which were less than a centimeter away from his. Dean's eyes opened and his hand fell from Castiel's cheek when Castiel reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone. A frown slid across Dean's mouth, and Castiel was already frowning and looking so angry that Dean was slightly scared.
"Mom, it was late and I stayed the night at Dean's. Don't worry. I'm fine- Mom- Mom! I'm fine. I'll be home later. I'll probably hang out here for a while..." Castiel cast a glance at Dean, smiling slightly. "Okay. Bye. Love you." Castiel hit the end call button before another word could come through the line with a sigh, shoving the phone back into his pocket. "Where were we?"
"I was just about to make you breakfast," Dean smiled, getting up from the bed. The moment was gone, and he was sure they'd have another one soon.
"Oh, were you?" Castiel looked up at Dean, who had his hand stretched out to help Cas off the bed. He took the hand, allowing himself to be pulled off the bed. "I can't wait to try it."
"I make the best damn breakfast ever, thank you very much."
"Damn, a nerd who can cook and dance?"
"Hell yeah."
Cas laughed and Dean took a second to enjoy the sound before moving forward and silencing it with his lips. He pressed them against Castiel's softly at first, feeling the smile on the man's lips. He pulled away with his own smile, feeling a kiss drop to the corner of his mouth before those lips pressed firmly against his again, conveying that Dean was not going anywhere anytime soon. An arm slid around Dean's waist and held him there to secure the idea. Dean's arms wrapped around Castiel's neck slowly as he savored the moment. They were pressed against each other, the only real movement coming from their lips, which were sliding against each other slowly still. They both smiled between the kisses, happy and grateful and nervous all at the same time.
Castiel had taken control now, and Dean went along with what he was given. Castiel brushed his lips against Dean's before actually setting a kiss onto them, and when he did, Dean almost laughed with joy. Castiel tasted like sleep, like a sweet, refreshing sleep... Dean wondered if he was like this every morning.
When Castiel pulled back from the kisses, Dean opened his eyes to a grin. "Finally," Cas mumbled. "Finally, finally, finally. I thought you had changed your mind. I thought you didn't want to kiss me."
"Are you kidding?" Dean laughed. "I've wanted to do that since day one."
"Day one, huh? You've been waiting a long time."
"Yeah, I have. I think that merits more kisses."
"After breakfast," Castiel laughed. "I want to try your cooking."
"Whatever."
"I still think that should be your catchphrase."
Castiel set down his fork and leaned forward, hands flat on the table near the middle. He looked Dean in the eyes, staying silent for a moment. "I'm coming over for breakfast more often," he spoke with conviction.
Dean laughed, leaning back in his seat. "Only breakfast?"
"Only breakfast. You can make me breakfast and then we can go to school."
"And then what?" Dean leaned forward, smiling still.
"And then you can come back here and you can go to dance, then I'll meet you down there and kiss for a while before you head back up here and settle into bed." Castiel paused. "Then it'll start all over again."
