Most of the first day with rachnera was spent moving all of her stuff and getting papers signed. 

Smith: well I have to go, it's about time for supper, miia you're not aloud to cook so take y/n out to eat

Miia: why can't I cook?

Smith: because I said so

*smol time skip *

Miia, rachnera and y/n walked through town to a restaurant on the other side.

???: what are you doing here 

Y/n turned to see a demihuman man with wings yelling at them 

???: humans don't belong here 

A woman with one large eye joined the first.

Miia: leave them alone 

Racist man: piss off, this human should be taught a lesson 

Racist woman: they shouldn't come to our towns 

Rachnera: try and tuch them and I'll rip out your heart 

Miia coiled her tail around y/n protectively 

Racist man: well what do you know

Miia: we know that this child is innocent, they have gone through enough 

Racist man: no humans are innocent, they all deserve to die

This man was sent flying when rachnera back handed him across the face.

Rachnera: next time I'll inpale you

Racist woman: you'll pay for that

Miia slapped her across the face 

Miia: don't make me call the police 

The two left swearing profusely as they did 

Miia: ignorant idiots 

Rachnera: I do dislike most humans but y/n is different

Y/n smiled, they had never had someone who would stand up for them, who would protect them. 

Y/n: Miia?

Miia: yes y/n?

Y/n: why did you stand up for me?

Miia: because y/n, I have grown fond of you and I always protect the ones I'm close to.

Y/ns heart warmed and they hugged miia. Not wanting to leave her out y/n also hugged one of rachneras legs.

Rachnera smiled down at y/n.

A nearby couple was watching them and awwed.

Woman: what a cute family 

Man: they look happy 

Miia, rachnera and y/n all looked at each other.

Miia: family....

She seemed to think about something and a wide smile came across her face, after they had all eaten miia got on a computer and started to look up laws on demihumans adopting humans. She would have to call miss smith.
