Aang's POV

Once Kikki and I finished a long game of air ball it was time for dinner and stories. Kikki made a big fruit salad for us to share, then we sat around a fire. I was excited since I wanted to here Kikki's story.

Kikki said,"Okay, are you ready to here my story?" We all nodded and she continued,"It all started when the fire nation attacked the temple, only two air benders left before that happened. Also, they were in love with each other; soon after they had a son, that son fell in love with a non-bender. They too soon had a daughter, however the daughter was blind but a strong air bender. The father taught his daughter how to see through air bending, soon after she mastered air bending and the parents were proud of her. To celebrate, they decided to take a trip to the Southern Air Temple, which is here. However, on their way there fire nation soldiers attacked them and the daughter escaped. She grabbed her glider and flew here. That girl is me."

Tears where in Kikki's eyes when she finished. Trying to comfort her Katara said,"I'm sorry for your loss, my mother was too attacked by the fire nation leaving me and Sokka alone with our dad. Dad and all the men of our tribe left to help in this war. I'll never forget it though our Gran Gran watched us it wasn't the same."

Kikki replied back,"I'm sorry for you too. So Aang, I heard you are going on a journey to stop this war and the fire lord, but first you need to learn water, earth, and fire? Well, I want to come with you, though I may be blind I still can see or feel Sokka's hand waving in front of my face,"

We all nodded then went to our rooms for the night. I still can't stop thinking about Kikki. She is very pretty and she's nice and kind, even though she is blind she still can see. She amazes me, all I need to figure out is who to choose; her or Katara. Ugh, well tomorrow we have a big day ahead of us.

Katara POV

When we first met Kikki and she told us her story I felt really bad for her, she lost not only her mom but her dad. I also noticed that Aang likes her a lot. Huh, well right now I guess none of us have time for romance. We've got to stay focused cause we have a long adventure ahead of us.

What I'm wondering about is how Kikki will handle Sokka's sexist comments. I want to see how that will turn out, I am also glad to have another girl in the group.

Kikki's POV

When I woke up I felt sunlight was pouring through the windows and I felt a soft breeze blowing in. I suddenly shot up, changed into a water tribe outfit just like Katara's. Why you are probably wondering.

Well let's just say that we decided to keep me being an air bender a secret and that I would pretend to be Katara and Sokka's younger sister. I put on a bracelet that my mom gave me before she left.

I then walked into Katara's room and asked her to fix my hair like hers. I asked Katara,"How do I look?"

She said,"You look great but you should take the bracelet off,"

I slumped my shoulders and packed it away into my bag. I then grabbed fruit, bread and some vegetables. I pretty much unpacked my whole room. Lastly I grabbed a picture of my mom, dad, and I, and I clung onto it.

I made an air scooter that Aang showed me then practically flew outside and yelled,"Get up! We're leaving!"

Hmm. No response. I grinned evilly and yelled,"Fire nation is here!"

Everyone hurries out with their things and I laughed loudly. I said,"Alright, now that everyone's up let's go, I want to explore the world!"

Everyone got on Appa and we flew. I asked Aang,"Where are we going Aang?"

Aang said,"You'll see. It's a surprise,"

I groaned. Then I grabbed my glider and flew next to Appa.

Since I was still bored I got back up on the saddle and asked,"Watcha talking about?"

I saw Katara fuming, she then yelled,"Oh, Sokka is just making a statement that girls sew and boys fight, well he's wrong!"

I narrowed my eyes and threw Sokka off the saddle into the ocean, we were close to land so he could easily swim back. Katara and I laughed and high fived.

We finally landed on an island. Aang yelled,"We're here! On this island I always used to love to visit here and ride the elephant koy!" He then stripped down to his underwear and jumped in.

He then shot up and yelled,"Cold!"

I saw Sokka swimming back here and he muttered grumpily,"You can say that again,"

Aang was waiting in the water when suddenly a giant elephant koy jumped above the water and Aang grabbed the fin. He started to ride for a bit.

Then getting a little bored I walked back to Appa and grabbed my bag. I rummage through it and grabbed the picture of my mom, dad, and I. Still clutching it I sat down with tears running down my cheeks.

I want to look tough but I really am not that tough and I miss mom and dad a lot. Mom would always sing to me and calm me down when I was frightened. Dad taught me how to see through air bending so I didn't live in a world of darkness. Both my parents didn't treat me like I was helpless and actually listened to me when I talked. Sigh.

I looked up and 'saw'/felt Katara coming over and she comforted me. Katara asked,"Who are those people in the picture next to you?"

I replied,"That dad on the left and mom on the right, I'm in the middle. This picture was taken a week before... be-"

Katara said,"I understand, now let's get back shall we?"

I nodded and followed her, Sokka ran up to us and yelled,"It's Aang, he's in trouble!"

My eyes widened and I ran over to the shore, Katara following me. Katara and I yelled at the same time,"AANG!"
