The Blind Air Bender

The Desert

Aang's POV
Right now Katara, Sokka, and I were walking in the desert and both LiLi and Momo were on my shoulders. I had to admit I was tired and dehydrated from walking in the desert for so long but I wasn't giving up now. I have to find Appa and Kikki, I have too!

When Katara and Sokka were walking slowly I said,"Come on, we have to find Appa and Kikki!" Katara said,"Aang, can't we just take a break?" I said,"No! We're not taking a break till we find them," Sokka then groaned and mumbled,"Water, wa-water,"

Katara said,"Here, I have some water in my pouch and we'll only drink a little of it, ok?" She then water bended her bending water into four bubbles and when I was just about to drink some water Momo and LiLi both flew around drinking all the water.

Sokka got upset at that and then wandered off to a cactus and when a piece of it broke off Sokka drank the juice out of it, and so did Momo. They then became loopy and I'm assuming that they were hallucinating. I then flew up onto a sand hill, got my whistle out and blew. I blew as hard as I could but since Appa nor Kikki came I guess that it was broken.

Then I air bended a bunch of sand everywhere out of my anger that I usually don't have.

Kikki's POV
When I woke up once again I was now in a box traveling somewhere. I sighed and curled myself in a ball. I wonder what my life would've been like if my parents were still alive? I shook that feeling off and my thoughts drifted to Appa. I had to get out of here somehow. I started feeling around the box looking for anything that could help me get out. When I finally found a loose board a punched it really hard using a huge gust of air. I'm pretty sure my knuckles are bleeding but I'll take care of that later. Then when I slipped out I 'looked' for Appa.

I finally found him but he was unconscious, and I was to tired and hurt to do anything. I decided to sneak over to Appa and sleep with him in his cage till morning.

I woke up only to find myself still captured, and I noticed that I was now in this big place filled with cage animals, and I was in one myself. I groaned and tried bending the air around me, but my hands were tied tightly with really strong rope. I tried getting up, but my feet were tied to, and my clothes felt different, like it wasn't the same usual material. Hmm, that's weird, they probably changed it.

Finally someone came in the room and started giving food up, he then came over to me and told me to get up so I could be part of the circus, but I decided to use my blindness to my advantage. I said with an innocent face,"But I'm blind and I can't see so how do I not hurt myself, and I don't think the audience will want to see a blind girl struggling. He growled and said,"I'll tell you what I want you to do girl, I don't care if your blind or not, and your going to be working with that pet of yours too so don't test my patience. He then said,"Now don't you try to escape and here's some food,"

He threw a little piece of food at me, and I took it gratefully while eating it. I sighed and looked up into nothing really, I just felt the vibrations sooth myself, and I imagine the group and what they are doing. Hopefully they are looking for us. Finally the time came for the show to start, and I snapped the ropes and was given a brush to do my hair so I at least looked nice and presentable. When I was done I made a small air ball and started playing with it.

Aang, when are you gonna find us? I found Appa, and I calmed him down and told him that we'll escape during the show. He nodded and nudged me affectionately. Then we got out and Appa got a little confused and we totally ruined the show and started flying out of there. I tried my best to get us out of there, yea, I TRIED. Never trust me to fly like a pro, I was bad and I got hit with a fire ball in my chest and it was stinging with pain. I hissed, and grabbed onto my staff that I found in the tent while we were leaving. After flying for awhile we finally stopped in the woods and found a river.

I got into the river and started to sooth my big burn that was on my chest, and the large cut on my knuckles from hitting the board, I probably looked like a mess. I had dirt and twigs all over me I assume, and so did Appa. We were both tired, hungry, and scared and so we found a cave and slept there. When I woke up I saw Appa freak out and I calmed him down, and I found Suki and the Kyoshi warriors.

I sighed and said weakly,"Suki, is that you?" She gasped when she saw me and said,"Kikki! Your clothes, they are singed, and you look really bad right now. Need help?" I nodded and just then I heard a really big gasp. Yup, they found the large burn marks on my chest, I cringed when I got up, and they cleaned me. When I was all ready I felt better, and so did Appa. Then we started collecting berries and I ate some happily. Suki then asked,"Why are you and Appa here, and where is the rest of the Gaang?" I said,"We were kidnapped and taken, and it's been very hard to try to get back to them, we are so tired and just scared in general. I need to get back with Appa, but the problem is I'm not quite ready to leave cuz I'm not in the condition and I have no clue where they are,"

She nodded in understand meant, and she got me some more clothes, packed a bag with clothes and food, and I bathed healing my cuts more. A little bit later I said that I felt much better but just then I was interrupted by that crazy fire nation princess, which is Zuko's sister. Appa and I barely escaped and I felt really bad for Suki.

Then we were off again, and we were to go to who knows where.
