The Blind Air Bender

Kyoshi Island

Kikki's POV

Katara and I both yelled,"Aang! Get out! There's something in the water!"

But unfortunately Aang thought we were encouraging him, so he just smiled and waved.Then the elephant koi that he was riding on flipped over and he fell out.

I was really worried about him. I felt a big huge thing coming out of the water right behind Aang. He then looked up and yelled,"Aaaaah!"

Using air bending he ran really fast on the water and was heading straight for Sokka. They both hit a tree, and I ran over to help Aang up, he put on his clothes and we were getting ready to leave.

Sokka said,"You know what? We should really be leaving and I want to get off of this island,"

Right as he was saying that I felt a group of young women running toward us probably to ambush us. I flew up onto a tree branch just in time.

They blindfolded and tied everyone else, onto a big pole. I quietly followed them on my glider and waited for the right moment to jump down.

Sokka just had to blurt,"Show yourselves cowards! Where are the men who ambushed us!" Sokka is starting to really get on my nerves.

Then I heard one of the women say,"There was no men, we ambushed you! Know tell us who you are!" Sokka just gawked at the lady's comment.

Then an old man said,"You are not from here so you must be fire nation spies," Then the woman spoke up and said,"He said,"Oh, the Unagi will be fed well tonight,"

Aang yelled,"Wait, we're not from the fire nation." The old man said,"Don't listen to them, we still don't know if we can trust them. Kyoshi Island has not been in the war yet so stay away from here!"

Aang butted in,"You named this island after Kyoshi? I know her,"

The man said,"How would you know her, Avatar Kyoshi has been gone for 4 centuries," Aang said,"But I am the avatar," The man commented back,"But the avatar has been gone for over 100 years and is an air bender,"

I heard Katara say,"Aang, do some air bending," Aang then sent a huge gush of wind and rocketed out of the ropes right by me since I was on top of the pole.

I hid of course so they couldn't see me. They then gasped,"Why you are the avatar, it's a pleasure to meet you,"

I decided that this was the right moment to grab my glider and fly down there. Everyone looked at me and the man said suspiciously,"If he's the avatar than how are you an air bender too?"

I replied," its a long story but..." After I explained we were lead to a big house up on a hill.

Aang and I decided to go back there to show the village some 'simple' awesome air bending tricks.

Aang went in the middle of the town and said,"Hey, check this out!"

He started to do a little marble trick and the town went crazy. I looked at Aang and nodded, we were going to show them a really cool trick so Aang and I lined up and created air shooters. We started riding them around then we jumped off them and I did a huge back flip landing on a roof then soaring with my glider and landing with me balancing on my hands.

Everyone applauded and I blushed, then I noticed the dojo where the girls were practicing at. I then walked in there and 'saw' Sokka with them wearing a dress and make up. I said,"Hey Sokka, nice dress."

He started fuming and said,"You can't even see, you're blind!" I narrowed my eyes and shot a gust of wind whipping him off his feet then rushed out.

I took a deep breath and ran into the house that we were staying at. I went into the corner, curled up and I tear slid down me cheek.

I then noticed Katara coming towards me and she kneeled beside me and said,"What wrong Kikki?"

I said,"When I was walking to the dojo and noticed Sokka wearing a dress through my air bending I told him nice dress and he started fuming. Then he shot back and said that I couldn't even see cause I was blind and I hate the fact that I am. I'm just a useless little blind girl and even though I try to put on a tough act I feel so vulnerable on the inside,"

Katara replied gently,"Kikki, you are the bravest, strong willed girl I've ever met and you're not useless. This means you can surprise people when they think you're useless and show the, who's boss. Plus Sokka is an immature but brained guy so don't listen to what he says, now do you wanna find Aang?"

I smiled and nodded, I got back up and followed Katara out, then we both went down to the shore. I suddenly gasped and pointed to Aang, he was waiting in the water, probably waiting for the Unagi.

I then felt the Unagi rising up bellow Aang and yelled,"Aang! Watch out! Bellow you!"

He suddenly started rising and he grabbed in trying to ride it, the Unagi shook Hume off and Aang was found into the ocean.

I quickly ran over there using air bending and I grabbed Aang, I picked him up and sped behind a dune away from the Unagi. I set him down and looked at Katara with tears in my eyes.

Then I felt fire nation right close to us behind the mini dune, I clung onto Aang and ducked. They must be looking for Aang.

Katara got the water out of Aang's lungs and then he gasped. Then Aang said,"Don't ride the Unagi, not fun,"

I quickly nodded then said,"Fire nation's here."

He shot up and we ran to the village. I flew to the dojo to dress up like a warrior and hid my tattoos with make up. I ran out of there and flew to a roof.

Aang and I were on the roof hiding. We ducked and waited for our queue to come down. The banished prince yelled,"Where's the avatar, I know you're hiding him!"

My hands balled into fists and I took a deep breath. The Kyoshi Island warriors started to attack them. The prince then yelled,"These little girls can't protect you!"

I totally lost it and shot down flinging the prince of the rhino. I then kicked him where the sun don't shine. Aang came down and burst a giant gust of wind at him making the prince fling against the wall.

Katara, Sokka, Aang and I hopped onto Appa and flew away. I pet Lili's ears, then Aang jumped down and started to ride the Unagi. Then he pulled on the whiskers and the Unagi sprayed water all over the burning village.

He then flew back up and said,"I know, I know, it was stupid."

I replied yes it was and poised Aang's cheek. His cheeks burned bright red and we all layer back riding off into the sunset.
