*Before the punch*  Asher's pov.

I'm standing in front of Alex trying my best not to punch that smirk off his face, but I just ignored it when I heard Annie telling me to stop and she can handle him herself.

I looked to Annie and my gaze turned soft, but I quickly looked back at Alex and I remembered something Crystal or Annies aunt told me just before she dropped me off at school today "Remember Asher trust nobody, and that includes your classmates," and that's when everything went a blur and I felt my fist come into contact with this idiots left cheek.

*present time* Annie's pov.

The whole class gasped when Alex fell to the floor, he quickly got up and had fire in his eyes, I looked to Jayden and Lauren, begging them to help me, they got the message and quickly got up, before Alex could hurt Asher they grabbed him and started saying stuff to him, like calm down or you dont wanna end up in detention again do you, i love my friends they help me no matter what even if it means calming down somebody they basically hate. When Alex was calm a bit he went to sit down and as for Asher, he walked out of the classroom, pass Mr park who was looking at us in confusion mixed with anger.

"What the hell is going on here!?" Mr park yelled, the whole class went silent and went back to their work, I sat down quickly looking to the seat next to me, a part of me was telling me to get up and go find Asher but the other part of me kept on saying I should let him have some time to himself and I shouldn't bother him, after a few minutes of me debating in my head on what to do, I decided to stay and not go, hopeing Asher would just come back to class.

*a few hours later*

It was already the end of the school day and Asher didn't come back to class, and in all honesty I was worried about him, everyone was.

I was walking home with my friends Jayden and Lauren, they were talking about something I don't know what.

I couldn't stop thinking about what Asher did today, my mind couldn't make out why Asher did what he did, why did he stand up for me when we only met a day ago? Why couldn't he be like everyone else in the class and not pay attention just like any other day? Like I said before what is wrong with this boy!? There's something about him and I can't seem to put my finger on it.

But eh it's all probably just in my head. I let out a frustrated groan which caught the attention of my two friends.

"What's wrong Anns?" I heard Jayden ask me, I look at her seeing her give me a sympathetic look, mahn did I not like it when people would give me that look, I would feel pathetic and stupid but I'd just shrug it off.

"Yeah why you so down, if I were you I'd be glad that the cute new student stood up for me especially to that dumbass Alex, wow do I hate that boy," Lauren told me slinging an arm over my shoulder.

"All it ever did was make me feel bad," I said, slowly pushing Laurens arm off of me, I kicked a stone, while walking as we were almost close to my house.

"And why's that?" Lauren asked me

"Cause I'm not worth it," I mumbled to myself making sure Lauren and Jayden didn't here me.

I sighed and looked up seeing that we reached my humble home, I squealed and jumped up and down while my friends laughed at me in amusement.

"Your so cute," I heared Lauren say and Jayden nodded, I just hid my face behind my hands which were covered with my baggy sweatshirt sleeves

"Guys it's Friday, do you wanna sleep over?" I asked them, they both nodded and we ran inside my house, first we greeted my grandma and grandpa and told them about the sleepover and they agreed.
