Chapter 5

Annie's pov.

After the hug, I said my goodbyes to Logan and Johnny, but before they left we first exchanged phone numbers. Asher on the other hand was surprisingly being obedient, I mean he didn't try getting close to me or try to touch my hand, he just looked at me then left. And honestly I did feel a slight pain when he didn't even bother talking to me, but I shouldn't feel butt hurt about it since I'm the one who told him to stay away from me for a while.

In a few moments of walking and thinking I had entered the cafeteria and immediately spotted my friends who were having a ball of a time.

Trying my best to put the fakest smile on my face, I walked towards them and sat down next to Jayden, who was listening contently to what lauren was saying.

"I'm not even kidding Jayden that boy is good looking- oh hey Annie," Lauren said cutting her sentence off to greet me, I just smiled and waved to her, then I gave Jayden a hug.

"Annie are you okay? Because lauren told me how you just ran off on her," Jayden asked me.

"Yeah, Ann's you looked like you've seen a ghost or something," Lauren said giving me a concerned look.

"Its nothing, I just really needed the bathroom," I lied to them

"Are you sure," they both asked me.

"100%"

*bell rings*

"Oh would you look at that, we have math," I said to them with a small smile on my face, getting up quicker then you could say Pikachu.

"Woah, woah, woah, why are you in such a rush?" Lauren questioned, grabbing my wrist.

"Don't wanna be late," I told her while pulling my wrist out of her hold.

"But ann-" is all I heared Jayden say before I was out of the cafeteria.

Laurens pov.

"What's up with her?" I asked Jayden

"I have no clue and hey what'd you say about-"

"Her asking me if I heared something?" I said finishing her sentence for her

"Yeah that,"

"Well I did see someone walk past annie while we were walking in the hallway and it looked like he whispered something to her, then all of the sudden she froze, but when she froze he slipped something into her jacket pocket," I told Jayden

"Did you see his face!?" She exclaimed.

"Nope, but he looks like somebody we know, I can't put my finger on it," I said rubbing my chin.

"Did you tell her about the letter tho?" she asked me

"Nope because the moment she ran away it fell out of her pocket, so I picked it up," I said pulling out the piece of paper from my jean pocket.

"Well what are you waiting for open the damn thing!" Jayden said grabbing the paper from my hand.

I watched Jayden open the letter and she started reading it, her mouth hung open and her eyes went wide.

I looked at her in curiosity and confusion "What? What does it say?"

"We need to go and find Asher, right now," she said pulling my arm.
