"Now that I think of it this is the first time he has ever noticed me." I said and took a bite of my spicy subs. There was an illegal trading business in the school where a man sold us spicy sandwiches from the subway cuz the school cafeteria food was just bad. And the principal has no idea about it.
So every lunch, we buy the subs and sit under our favorite tree everytime and hang out.
"True". Sophie agreed.
"How bout we take a selfie to mark this day"
"Yeah"
We pulled out our iPhones and raised them in the air.
Our subs in the other and we both made cute faces and...
Snap!
"Aww this picture is so cute. This is so going on Instagram."
I said. And I did post it with the caption "Spicy lunch with my bestie"
"You know what. It would be so good if you told him how you felt." Sophie said.
"You know that can't happen. Before I even open my mouth I would have already embarrassed myself." I replied.
"Then write him a love note."
"Er...no. I can't." I replied and took another bite.
"Why?"
"Do you know the number of girls who have written him love notes?"
"I know. Alot."
"And he's rejected them...all"
"Cuz, he's looking for the right one. Well you have to do something. You've had feelings for him for two years. Girl, you gotta man up"
"It's not easy okay." I said and looked down at my lap.
The bell rang again for the next period.
Sophie stood up and looked at me still sitting on the grass looking all sad.
"Fine. It may not be easy. But you're going to have to do it. And there's no better time than now. Or you'll regret it when you lose the guy you like-like to someone else"
She said and walked away.
Leaving me to think about it under the tree.
