10: When Boys play Fortnite...

I watched Piper stomp put off the store and Sophie call out behind her. And she went after her soon after.

I then turned to Velen who walked up to me.

"What happened?" I asked her but she shrugged and said "dunno."

I left my drink and went out the store. "Gavin" she called after me.  "Where are you going?"
"I feel tired so I'm going home to rest up." I replied.

"But we started hanging out literally 15mins ago."

"And it was wonderful" I replied. I waved at her and went on my way.

I her growl in rage. I know Velen hates it when I walk out on her. But I wanted to go home.

"I'm home" I called out when I got home.

I went to my room and fell on my bed.
"Why was Piper so sad?" I said to myself.
I hate it when she's sad.
Aish! Why do I think of her lately?
Something is up?
Velen what did you do?

A week has passed and it looks like Piper and Sophie aren't talking with each other.
"Sophie seems kinda down lately"
Dan said one day over the headphones as we played Fortnite online together.

"C'mon man! We're fighting here" I cried hitting the buttons furiously.

"I know but..." Dan said.

Game! Over!

I slumped in my game chair.
"You've noticed it too man. And the girl Piper  she's missed school for a week now "

"Yeah I know. I hope she's okay."
I said.

We sat in silence for sometime.

"You there, Gav?" Dan asked over the headphone.

Then I had an idea.
"Hey why don't you go meet Sophie. It's a Sunday so she'll be at home."

"You think so?" He asked.

"C'mon. I know you like her. Go see her."

"What about you man?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm going to see Piper" I replied.
