Chapter 1: Weird feelings

It seemed like a pretty casual morning at the Mario Bros.' residence. Mario was out mowing the backyard right after breakfast, and Luigi was watering the plants that he'd planted in his garden. However, something was on his mind he couldn't get out of his head. He tried to hum, whistle, whatever he could think of, except he couldn't think, because he couldn't get rid of this thought. He'd finished and was putting the watering can away, and it seemed Mario had finished simultaneously. It wasn't long before Mario could see the concern on his younger brother's face, not to mention feel it. That was the way the two functioned.
"Something on your mind, little bro?" Mario said, covering the mower up.
"I-I just got this feeling I can't shake," said Luigi, putting the watering can up, then heading out the shed.
"Like what?"
"That's the problem. I really don't know."
"Hmmm, weird feeling, can't shake... Yeah, I got nothing," Mario concluded as the two headed back to the house.
"I guess it's one of those when something bad is about to happen."
"Well, let's go to Peach's Castle. Maybe that'll get your mind off whatever it's on."
"......"
"Luigi?"
"Alright..."
"OK! Let's-a-go!"
The brothers started the walk through Toad Town. Mario could tell that whatever Luigi was thinking about, it clearly was still bugging him. The occasional Toad said a hello, and the brothers occasionally gave the wave. As Peach's Castle came into sight, Mario felt his spirits brighten. He always enjoyed seeing the Princess, and it was nice to see her. However, he could tell Luigi was being eaten alive by those thoughts again. However, just before they got inside, the two brothers were blinded by a bright light.
"Gah!!!!!" cried Mario, covering his eyes. He couldn't hear Luigi, but he was sure he understood his feeling now.
