Chapter 20: The World Warrior

Our heroes landed. They'd appeared to be in a town, which was appeared very busy.
"Great, the last thing we need is about twenty people running around a random town," Falco grumbled. Mario had a feeling that Falco was getting a bit restless.
"Easy Falco, this should be over soon... I hope," Fox said. The group approached a group of people in a circle. The circle opened up just as our heroes showed up. A young man was thrown to the ground. Mario noticed he was bruised from head to toe.
"Sorry, child, you are no match for me! The great Sagat!" The man who was in the center of the circle. Mario noticed the man had super long legs, blue shorts, a red scar across his chest, as well as a eye patch over his right eye.
"So, anyone else wants to battle me?" Sagat sneered.
"YES!" Falcon piped up. Everyone looked at Falcon in shock.
"Cap, you can't do this! This guy is going to beat you to a pulp!" Luigi blurted out.
"It is fine, little man, I accept all challengers! Name, tough guy," Sagat said.
"Captain Falcon. Now, if you're ready to show me your moves, come on!" Falcon shouted.
"I like your style, little man! Let's fight!" Sagat laughed. The battle went on for a few minutes. Our heroes were shocked to see Falcon to put up a fight. The avoided different attacks from Sagat's sinewy legs, as well as his "tiger shots." Finally, Falcon, lept high in the air. Sagat realized the opportunity. He prepared to jump up.
"TIGER UPPERCUT!" Sagat screamed, leaping up in the air for an uppercut.
"FALCON KICK!" Falcon screamed back, coming down with a fiery kick. The force was huge, forcing everyone back. Finally, Sagat fell back.
"Wha- What is this? What is this power?" Sagat said.
"What's the matter? Come on!" Falcon said. Sagat attempted to battle back. But it was obviously too late. Sagat was shook to the core. Finally, Falcon found another opening.
"Falcon... PUNCH!!!!!" Falcon shouted. His fiery punch nailed Sagat right in the stomach. Sagat reeled back, stumbling around. He eventually fell. Sagat was defeated. The crowd cheered.
"Falcon! Falcon! Falcon!"
"Show ya moves!" Falcon shouted. Falcon left through the crowd, while most of our heroes stood in awe.
"Dude, that was the punch you used to take our that robot! That was AWESOME!" Ash cheered.
"Well, fighting moves like that will prove useful, especially if those monsters appear again," Mario said. As they kept walking, they were approached by a man. He was barefoot, as Sagat had been. He wore white, as the clothes of some martial arts experts do. He had red gloves, as well as a red headband.
"Does the name 'Captain Falcon' mean anything to you?" the man asked the group.
"Yes!" Falcon responded, stepping to the front of the group.
"I heard you defeated Sagat. Not many people have been able to do that."
"Thanks. I take that as a compliment. But what is it to you?" Falcon asked. The man got a fighting stance.
"I want you to fight me!" the man shouted. Our heroes were quiet. They hadn't expected this.
"Well, if a fight is what you want, I accept. Come on!" Falcon shouted. The battle began! The man used the first attack.
"Hadouken!" the man yelled, shooting a fireball, similar to Sagat's tiger shots. Falcon dodged, then went for a running punch, which the man dodged. The man went for a spinning kick, which Falcon dodged, countering with a flying knee he dubbed the "Knee of Justice," which the man dodged as well. Two continued to counter different attacks, until Falcon jumped in the air.
"FALCON KICK!" Falcon screamed, coming down with the signature kick. The man saw the attack. He was prepared to counter.
"SHORYUKEN!" screamed the man going up for an uppercut. The collision was great. It sent everyone backwards.
"What was that?" Sonic yelled.
"It's the same as before!" Shadow returned
"Same as before?"
"Yeah. Do you remember the collision between the Falcon Kick and Sagat's Tiger Uppercut? It had the same amount of force. It's clear, the Tiger Uppercut and the Shoryuken are one in the same!" Shadow explained. The battle continued. The man and Falcon continued to battle. Finally, Falcon found an opening. Or, at least he thought. The man began to charge up a punch.
"FALCON... PUNCH!" Falcon landed the punch on the man. However, instead of any damage, the man kept charging up. He suddenly hit a punch right into Falcon! The punch stunned Falcon. Seeing his opportunity, the man struck again.
"SHORYUKEN!" The man yelled. The uppercut was powerful. It was so strong, it sent Falcon spiraling into the ground.
"Falcon, you okay?" Fox asked, walking up to the fallen bounty hunter.
"Yes... I think I lost, though," Falcon groaned.
"You are a strong opponent in combat. However, you have made a mistake many of my opponents have made. You must survive my Dragon Punch to stand a chance. Or, the Shoryuken," the man said.
"Well, it's as I always say, show ya moves! And you... sir, surely have shown me you moves. Um, what's your name?" Falcon questioned.
"My name is Ryu. You were an honor to battle," Ryu answered.
"So, you from around here?" Sonic asked.
"No. I don't really have a home. I travel from place to place, looking for opponents, so I can get stronger," Ryu explained.
"That's some serious dedication," Luigi whispered to Mario. He nodded.
"Well, I'm sorry sir, but at this rate, there won't be anymore opponents to get stronger. At this rate, this world will,be consumed," Mario spoke up.
"MARIO!" everyone shouted. They had been hoping to get to this slowly, hoping that by the time this was over, they could recruit Ryu. Now, there was no chance.
"What do you mean?" Ryu demanded. Mario took a deep breath, then explained everything that had gone down these past few hours.
"Hm... you may be right. After seeing four different kinds of animals, I believe you," Ryu said when Mario finished. While they were yet speaking, a giant ball form fell from the sky!
"What is that thing?" Fox asked It was pretty much a rhetorical question, since no one knew what it was. Then, two more R.O.B.s showed up, luckily much smaller than the first one. They clamped on to the sides of the giant metallic ball.
"These things again!" Falcon said.
"Wait, you've seen these things before?" Ryu asked. Mario kept watching. He saw the R.O.B.s pull the ball apart. Then in the center of this weird shape, he saw something terrible. A timer. It had been set for 3 minutes. Mario realized what this thing was. It was a bomb! Before he could say anything, Marth beat him to the punch.
"Your majesty, isn't that..."
"Yes! It's one of those things that exploded, releasing those creatures!" Marth cried.
"We need to get out of here!" Mario yelled.
"But what about all these people? They're going to be devoured by the explosion!" Fox protested.
"We don't have time! We have less than three minutes to get out of here! We can try to rescue them after we stop whatever is going on!" Mario snapped.
"Alright...," Fox said.
"Let me go with you," Ryu said.
"Great, now LET'S-A-GO!" Mario shouted. Everyone bolted towards Falcon's ship as fast as possible. Time was obviously not being as kind as Mario hoped. Just as everyone hopped in and Falcon got the ship on, the dark bomb exploded.
"Gun it, Cap!" Mario demanded. Falcon obeyed, stepping on. However, it appeared this black hole would swallow our heroes up! However, just before it consumed our heroes, the bright light came out of nowhere. Everyone yelled, covering their eyes. The light hadn't appeared in a while, so everyone was pretty sure that it wouldn't come back. Little did they know that this light would be what saved our heroes.
